    List Mgmt. 2026 Draftee/NGA/FS Discussion

Possibly Essendon as the new rules will make it tough for them to match a bid on Koby Bewick in 2027? Given they hit the draft hard last year, I’m hoping this means they’ll be up for the trade (our F1 for their first 2026 pick). I would even throw in more if it meant we ended up with HVH (our...

List Mgmt. Welcome Josh Lindsay (Pick 19, 2025 National Draft)

Initially when we drafted him I thought he’d be the stereotype “half back seagull” with an elite kick. However, I am loving seeing the contested side to his game and then seeing it improve every week. He’s a tough unit willing to get his hands dirty. Can see why he was captain all throughout his...

Prediction Round 7, 2026: Changes vs St Kilda

Not sure why there is any hesitation about sending Jobe back. Jobe has the potential and attributes to become an elite key defender which just so happens to be our biggest issue right now. Yes I’d love him kicking goals but if Mini is going to back in CDT and Reid, may as well go the whole way...

Game Day Round 5, 2026: West Coast vs Geelong

From the Captain’s Run it looks like Young will come out for Maric. Maric did the whole session with the defenders (albeit light). Young did next to nothing. Baker spent a bit of time with the forwards before chillin on the side (he wasn’t with the backs at all).

    Injury 2026 Season Injury Thread

Someone mentioned previously that Hutch would be a good fit for Newton’s role. I tend to agree - he may not have the best skills but he can certainly tackle, has intensity around the ball and has played forward in the past. Oh and he’ll fly for his marks like Newton too.

Autopsy Round 4, 2026: Positives and Negatives vs Sydney

The sad reality is that even if Harley had support and his teammates laid effective blocks for him, all it would have done is freed him up in space to watch Grundy tap it down the throat of a Swans player.

Autopsy Round 4, 2026: Positives and Negatives vs Sydney

Throw every last remaining cent of our salary cap to Rowan Marshall at the end of the year. We’ll get 2-3 years of a competitive ruckman until CDT is ready.

    News 2026 Membership Renewal

Not sure where else to put this but if anyone wants to get rid of two tickets for our Gather Round game (Adult + Junior) please let me know. Just ridiculous we got shafted to a ground with 10,000 capacity - managed to get tickets for half my family who are members but not the other half!

Autopsy Round 3, 2026: Positives and Negatives vs Port Adelaide

Has anyone mentioned Harley’s diving smother? If ever there was an act that symbolises the shift in mindset and buy-in this year, that might be it.

Autopsy Round 3, 2026: Positives and Negatives vs Port Adelaide

The cleanest 200cm ground level player deliberately fumbling it over the line with 1 min to go shows some serious composure and game sense. 18 years old by the way.

Prediction Round 3, 2026: Changes vs Port Adelaide

Schoenberg is probably the closest like for like replacement we have. Even though he’s mostly played midfield previously, he is a contested beast with a frenetic attack on the ball. No reason he can’t apply his skillset as a half forward who rolls up to the contest. To summarise, I hope it’s...

List Mgmt. Welcome Cooper Duff-Tytler (Pick 4, 2025 National Draft)

It’s one thing to be a tall who is good below his knees (Jackson, TDK etc) but to be super clean and efficient with decision making like an elite midfielder (Butters, Serong etc) is proper unicorn behaviour.

Autopsy Round 1, 2026: Positives and Negatives vs Gold Coast

He also had a few impressive taps to advantage (with both his hands and feet) in heavy congestion which I thought was clever. Throw this in on top of everything else that has been mentioned and it’s further evidence that he has the tools to be an AFL quality player at the very least.

Game Day Preseason Game 1, 2026: West Coast v Fremantle

Came away from that game feeling positive about our overall direction. There will no doubt be some tough moments in every game we play but there’s enough there to suggest we’ll compete and compete well. The gaping black hole that was our midfield seems to have been addressed and there’s...

Training Preseason Training Thread - 2026

I remember a disclaimer on CDT’s VFL game last year was that his 3 goals were from close range/running into open goals. After a couple more of those types of goals yesterday, I wonder if the narrative needs to change a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not “luck” and it’s his speed...

Filthy. Could only get tickets for myself and my son as we’re members. Stupid system wouldn’t allow any other purchases in the member window (wanted one for my daughter).

    Jumper Numbers 2026

01: Lachy Dovaston. 13: Charlie Spargo. 23: Blake Thredgold. 27: Jack Darling. (Formely 28.) 28: Hugo Mikunda. Not sure why but seeing this made me feel a bit sad (in a football sense). No matter how correct the decision was for our future (which it 100% was), still crappy to let a premiership...

Would be an odd “upgrade” if he has. Wonder if it’s more to do with someone wanting the #27.

    Jumper Numbers 2026

I think passing on “famous” numbers with the current regime went out the door when Flynn took #25 the year after Hurn retired.

Game Day The 2025 Draft Day Thread

What sort of player is Walley? Any player comparison? Seems a no brainer to add him as a Cat B rookie given there’s no other option and it’s a “free hit”?
  25. Jukes

List Mgmt. Welcome Sam Allen (Pick 29, 2025 National Draft)

Will be interesting to see which position he settles in. Wing is the obvious one but the modern day high half forward could be his go too with his running power and ability overhead. Maybe Dylan Moore style without the punchable head.

List Mgmt. Welcome Sam Allen (Pick 29, 2025 National Draft)

Goodness gracious, after watching a couple of interviews, he actually speaks like Oscar and kinda looks like a mini version of him. How is this happening?!

List Mgmt. Welcome Sam Allen (Pick 29, 2025 National Draft)

From ESPN: 38. North Melbourne - Sam Allen Oakleigh Chargers MID, 182cm Allen has a brilliant athletic profile but an ACL cruelled his season. He figures to become a potent wingman with his speed and endurance, plus offers immense leadership potential after captaining sides throughout his...

List Mgmt. Draft thread - 2025 (remaining picks: 29, 34)

I’m very happy with our picks from last night. The exciting thing is that all 3 have the potential to become elite A graders. As a few have mentioned, given there was no Harley type option, I’m glad we didn’t use a high pick on a pure midfielder. There just won’t be opportunities next year...

List Mgmt. Welcome Josh Lindsay (Pick 19, 2025 National Draft)

It’s not only his kicking skills that will be of greatest value to us but it’s his quick and effective decision making. It will result in quick ball movement and help massively with our game plan. This is what stood out most when McCarthy came into the team. He just kept making good decisions...
