I think he has natural ball winning abilities and a knack for clearances. He's a little bit Cripps-Lite though, without the speed of mind and vision.
He's very much next man in, rather than best 22 when they are all there. No point of difference. Needs to bulk up a little bit more.
Not that I agree with Marchbank in mothballs, but Fog hasn't been as injured as Marchbank has. I think that's the point being made. Could be an interesting call at the end of the season. Sam Durdin will definitely be gone.
Get me a physically developed key defender and a midfielder with pace who can attend centre bounces. Just something to help the VFL team and be available for injuries.
Not really the week to pick Fantasia out as the small forward to drop. Sure, his numbers weren't huge, but he was miles above the other two for pressure acts. He's a better fit for midfield minutes and linking up going into the forward 50. Slowly getting into the run of things.
Multiple players improved on last year.
Boyd, Kemp, Cottrell, TDK, Hewett, Cripps, McKay, Fogarty, Kennedy, Carroll, Durdin. Hell, Lewis Young is better than he was last year. Several others are just as good as they were last year.
Yes, they were more attacking last year. We haven't seen it 6 games in this year. I know they can change it up, but they haven't. It seems to be there go to this year.
If he's worried about the player drain, let them play football. It's a discliplined exhausting style and as a fan, I'd hate it...
That constricting game Freo play is hard to maintain, and stifles all creativity within the team. They deliberately play a game that means their opposition is within range even if they are leading. It's not a game for success and they have been their under Ross. I just don't get it.
Then when...
You'd think clearances since we kicked our first 3 goals that way and it was the reason for our 3rd quarter burst. We did cause a lot of turnovers though, so it could just as easily have been through that method. No substitute for 6-6-6, 2 possesions and a goal though, as opposed to a back...
Shocked to see Fantasia far outstripping Owies and Durdin with pressure acts. Durdin had a couple of eye catching efforts out there so I expected him to have a heap of PAs.
I think there was a reaction last week. Whether it was an overreaction or valid, I have no desire to get into. We looked slow last week and Pittonet particularly wasn't very good.
This week, both rucks were very good. Does this week dispell last week because of its recency? If they don't...
That's the stuff I really appreciate. He's not the best tap ruckman, he often gets a little lost up forward with the other big boys up there and our occasionally poor delivery. But when he turns it on, he is irrepressible. He just has these periods where he does things a big man shouldn't do.
I'm not sure that you actually read what I said.
I said that I generally don't agree with calling posters out as I find it lazy. This is whether they say something I personally agree with or not. I explained why.
Double standards would be if you see me calling out posters for expressing...
Not sure if it's as black and white as that.
The belief seems to be that we can't play Cripps, Hewett, Cerra and Kennedy in the same midfield and that hasn't really happened for the most part. Kennedy still played up forward a bit tonight.
I'd also suggest we took a number of marks and scored...
I reckon Glascott was a bit classier and hit the scoreboard more. It will be interesting to see how far Ollie can develop.
I see the Simpson frame and courage when the ball is in the air. He's not a fire starter and needs the team to lift to go with him, but that's a sign of youth. It is...
I'm not salty.
As a moderator, I find posts that blanket call out large swathes of posters from week to week, lazy and not at all constructive or useful for discussion. We are not a facebook page where the aim is to one up each other. We are a community where we should post with respect and...
