This is going to get ugly.
However, I hope one thing is highlighted today. We need Key Defenders, plural.
Darling and Allan could easily kick 6 plus each today.

Bit of talk going around that along with a night Grand Final, the draft lottery may be trailed this year.
The justification being that with restricted seasons at junior level ( and heavily compromised AFL season) this year's draft inconsistent with other years.
The lottery also creates a...
Craigy was all.about systematic play. It was the mid 2000s and that was the buzz word. Set your systems in place and let that do the work.
Paul Roos, Worsfold, Ross Lyon were also.very similar.in mentality. Mid 2000s footy was all about corralling the man and using bulk numbers to guard space...
Our biggest issue is our inability to stop an opponent with a tackle.
Countless times opposition players just run through our guys without fear of being impeded.
It costs us every week and been an issue since Craigy.
This needs to he fixed.

I was having a discussion earlier today with someone about the Assistant Coaches. Not just at our club but as Port as well.
This is the collective list of Assistant/Development Coaches at both clubs.
Vossy
Chad Cornes
Nathan Basset
Dean Brogan
Scott Thompson
Stuart Cochrane
Paul Stewart
Ben...
With a tough three game block behind us, I want to see us control a few games. Starting today.
Hope ROB has a blinder and puts some media pressure on Sauce's imminent auto selection.
And a better defensive midfield action.
Forwards kicking goals would be good as well.

Forget realistic trades and salary expectations which five players do you think would be the best fit in our side for 2019.
For me.
Brodie Grundy.
Dylan Shiel
Toby Greene
Ben Brown
Jeremy McGovern

Seems like Bernie has played his last AFL game. He is the ultimate clubman. Still loves the AFC, I have seen him personally in the Ridings Bar watching us when the Dees (it was September) were not playing cheering us on, and sinking beers.
He was the main person affected by the Tippett...
Where are all the cocky Tealsters?
Few seem to want to talk up their team or the chance to clean sweep us this year and get closer to a top four spot.
This game is a free hit for us. Win and happy days. Lose and it may help to improve our draft position.
For Port a loss means they have to win...
In these tough times of sliding down the ladder to second place we need to turn the blowtorch on everyone at the club and make them accountable for the slide.
So I ask what part have the cleaning staff had in this slide?
Is the place as clean as it could be? What improvements could be made...

Heather Anderson wears this number in the Woman's team and it seems the club has dropped this moniker in any PR.
I for one hated it, and was happy when the iron on "19" came off my 2013 Members polo, making it one of the best non Adidas polo shirts we have had IMO. I cringed any time Neil Craig...
Heard this morning only six players taken last night from SA. For a state where Aussie Rules is the number one sport, that is pretty pathetic. It is also the key reason why the attititude that our club should take SA lads would set the club up for failure.
This failure is despite our U/18 side...
I was going to ignore this place today, the Henny Penny's of the world being in meltdown mode and throwing away what so far has been a pretty decent season over losing to a team that played in the Grand Final last year and have hit form at the right time of year. Few people respected how good...
Last game of the round, I hate this timeslot, although it does free up most of the weekend for other things. This weekend I was able to take in a comedy show at Adelaide Oval.
We should win, but can not take the Dockers lightly. The main match up I am looking for will be ROB Vs Sandi. Really...
The Jenkins thread is probably done, was a good read, so lets do it again.
For me Brad Crouch is a hard to gauge. Is yet to have one decent year in the game, but has talent to burn.
I personally think any deal would be two years max around the $400k mark. Purely because both parties don't...
Not sure what the protocol is, but after reading and making posts about the election I got the itch to open today's game day thread.
Win big and we are top four tonight.
Those old enough to remember Modra mania, and Smart with hair, will remember this catchphrase, and the one hit wonder song by Timbuk3.
Back before prematch entertainment was a thing we used to play this song quite regularly over the AM quality audio system at Footy Park before a game. It was...
Great to hear we will bidding for a woman's team.

I posted earlier tonight about how great it would be for every ticket to be used on Sunday and we pack Adelaide Oval. Our club deserves us, the members to show our love and support for the club that represents us in the toughest sporting competition in Australia.
The realisation tonight that...
Well it is game day, and unless I have missed it where is the GD thread???
The sun is out, the birds are chirping and I have just got back from my morning walk/coffee. It looks set to be a fine day.
Wait, is that some clouds coming in and the wind picking up?????
Anyway, rain hail or shine...
What a win, as suggested in another thread title, it was one for the ages. But how did we do it?
The key things you need to do to win a game of footy are, win the midfield, kick goals and stop the other team. Yesterday we ticked all of these boxes, well for at least most of the game.
The...
Great interview with Tex, one of the few players who speaks his mind. He can see how Free Agency will create a two tiered competition and has a dislike of how the AFL seem to follow US trends...
Rowie has aluded to this on AA just now.
Any truth in this, or another Roweism, where the complete opposite will happen ie "Eddie Betts is going to North Melbourne and Polec will be a Crow"
The first night game at AO was very well ran in terms of non football entertainment.
Having the band basically play right up to the start of the game and then at halftime is a masterstroke.
