Traded Esava Ratugolea [Traded to Port Adelaide for #25, #76 and #94]

They obviously had eyes on kid and were worried he would be gone by 100. Top trading. Sent from my SM-S901E using Tapatalk

Autopsy Cats lose to Freo by 7 points.

I feel ok being put out of my misery. Must win game for us, non finals team coming accross country to our fortress. At no stage this year have we looked up to Collingwood and Port. I could hope to be at Brisbane and Melbourne levels when I am optimistic. The truth is we look comfortable in the...

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 6 - Cats v Swans Sat April 22nd 7:25pm AEST (GMHBA)

Just watched the Duncan bump. He didnt run past the ball or elect to bump. The ball was still ahead of him, the Sydney guy went low and missed it and cannoned into Duncan. I dont know what people expect Duncan to do when someone charges you at shoulder height head first there isnt much options...

NO TROLLS NO JAB NO PLAY POLICY

There is probably one Kyrie Irving in there, lets see who it is.

Traded Jordan Clark and F4 traded to Fremantle for #22 and F3 (Carl)

Geelong just don't want to trade him. They have the 2022 premiership in mind and no pick is going to playing finals this year while Jordan has a good chance of doing so. We did the same with Kelly, if you want to weaken our 12 month prospects then you will need to pay more then the players worth.

    MRP / Trib. Joel Selwood....again

Agreed, both boxes need ticking. Unlawful action leading to injury. For example the May Hawkins one quoted, injury was severe, however the action was not unlawful. This Selwood incident, unlawful incident perhaps, but no injury. Hawkins as well, unlawful act, no injury. Greene Danger, injury...

Selwood on Josh Kelly - how many?

Neither of the people Selwood or Hawkins hit were hurt, if they were then they get in trouble. AFL are using a result based system like in the real world if you hit someone in your car with bad driving you only get manslaughter if they die. If you hurt them you get grievous bodily harm (dont...

Toby Greene makes contact with umpire - Update: Suspension Increased to 6 weeks on Appeal

3 weeks is all the finals, they may as well have gone more and made statement of it if they were going to take him out of finals anyway.

Toby Greene makes contact with umpire - Update: Suspension Increased to 6 weeks on Appeal

I dont think there is anything for our fans to gain by spruiking for big penalties for Toby. I dont think there is much doubt out there that Toby is going to miss at least the one week.

Toby Greene makes contact with umpire - Update: Suspension Increased to 6 weeks on Appeal

I think it will be big. This is very different then a lot of others we have looked at recently trying to get an umpires attention or at least some small argument that it wasnt intentional. He walked through Stevic while arguing with him. AFL will want to protect the umpires in local and kids...

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

I believe they can coexist somewhat. You are right though, Incorrect disposal does take precedence and is judged first. It requires the player to purposely ELECT to dispose of the ball incorrectly, which gets very grey in a tackle and very hard to umpire. However even so, if disposed of...

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

It was either going to be 'corruption' if the AFL affirmed the call, 'incompetence and corruption' if they said it was wrong. AFL lose either way. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

If you dont think he did then you just cleared him of incorrect disposal as it needs to be intentional. 18.6.3 Holding the ball: Incorrect Disposal – Where a Player in Possession of the Football has not had Prior Opportunity, a field Umpire shall award a Free Kick if that Player -elects to...

Then its an interpretation disagreement as I dont see how that is throw rather then dislodged in the tackle. He was being ragdolled with one hand pinned, it came free to nuetral ground. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

He was being flung 360. I certainly do understand it, I quoted the rulebook definition earlier in the thread. You should read it, there is much more to it then your definition. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

Thats because the majority dont understand prior opportunity. Some commentators cant even be bothered to learn them, what hope do fans have. Its no howler, its a lot closer them people think to line ball. The Afl will likely come out and confirm the decision and everyone will whinge...

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

It coming out in the tackle is not penalised, he didnt throw it. Evade the tackle, maybe, a simple turn of the body is not enough to make it 100% though. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

Avoid the tackle maybe, thats where the holding the ball would have had to have come from, everything else ticks the boxes for play on. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

I get that, good tackling is good football. AFL have the spectacle in mind though, they want people picking up balls and clearing congestion. They will reward the players who do this with not having prior opportunity if they are tackled. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

there will be much less incentive to take possession of contested ball if prior opportunity was taken oit of the rules. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

It would become soccer, the game has heated up and now the player gaining possession needs to be rewarded. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

No, no chance of that interpretation, he was attempting to handball behind him immediately. Its whether he attempted to evade or not. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

Can an independent commission investigate the AFL for blatant cheating?

I am in vast minority here but there is definitely doubt it was holding the ball, by the rules. Under the 2021 release of the Laws of Australian Football, holding the football is covered by Law 18.6.[2] Four specific clauses apply, mostly depending upon how the player came to be in possession...

Traded Nakia Cockatoo [traded to Brisbane for 2021 R3 (Melb)]

I think an upgraded version Lincoln McCarthy but perhaps with even more injury issues, he cannot string games together at all. Its up to Brisbanes medical team now, I would be confident in them though they have shown great competence in getting players onto the ground.

Completely agree, I want no rain or flood. A little rain hurts our gameplan, a lot of rain means all gameplans are in the trash and its a wrestling match.
