    Resource 2020 Draft Watch (picks 1, 9, 20, 30, 45, 50, 60, 74) - updated R17 15/9/20

I know we're well stocked for half bank flankers, but if Shannon Hurn has an interest in coaching he could be an option. Recent premiership captain and SA boy. The Luke Hodge-style playing coach role will become a valuable asset in the next few years with cuts to the coaching spend.

Review So how will this affect the AFL?

Might be an opportune time to buy our licence back from the AFL and install full member voting rights. 50,000 members x $500 each = $25 million. Any idea what we owe on the Development Grant? Never waste a good crisis.

Mega Thread Possible trades in 2015 for the Crows

I should preface this by saying these are purely hypothetical scenarios based on today’s rumours. I’ve tried to be realistic based on the assumption that we will most likely accept unders for Dangerfield. Scenario 1: Trade Dangerfield Adelaide: Trade Dangerfield + Kerridge + 13 for 9 + 27 +...

Mega Thread Possible trades in 2015 for the Crows

Interested in people's thoughts on the following. 1) Given it is a shallow draft this year, would this increase the trade value of our depth players in terms of draft picks - i.e. would teams prefer to get a known quantity depth player (e.g. Kerridge, Lyons etc.) for a 2nd rounder than take a...

    List Mgmt. Operation "Get Scharenberg"

Would something like this work? Adelaide 1st pick + Collingwood 2nd pick to GWS Treloar to Collingwood Scharenberg + Hampton/Wilson to Adelaide So Adelaide trade 1st for Scharenberg and Hampton/Wilson Collingwood trade Scharenberg and 2nd for Treloar GWS trade Treloar and Hampton/Wilson for...

2016 Clash Guernsey: Two Designs Confirmed!

    B. In my opinion, the best looking Adelaide clash guernsey design I have seen proposed on BigFooty. We should definitely be lobbying the club to consider this one.

List Mgmt. AFC - 2014 Drafting and Trading

Agreed. I certainly don't think we should limit ourselves to SA players. In theory it should be easier to convince them to move to Adelaide though. Would be equally happy for us to target players like Mitchell, Rohan, O'Rourke etc. if they are willing to move to Adelaide.

List Mgmt. AFC - 2014 Drafting and Trading

Was only suggesting that we could trade him to Melbourne if Frawley leaves on the basis that they wouldn't want to negate their FA compensation by recruiting a FA. Otherwise you are correct in that we wouldn't be able to trade him.

Analysis The reality of our list

The reality of our list 1. We have a good core of young players (B.Crouch, Dangerfield, Smith, Sloane, Walker, Talia, Lynch, Jacobs) and we need to look at building a team around these guys. Our best players are primarily in the 20-24 year old bracket whilst most of our experienced players are...

List Mgmt. AFC - 2014 Drafting and Trading

Despite our lack of draft picks in the past two years, I would personally be happy for us to use our early picks as trade bait this year. I am not all that excited by this year’s draft crop and I would prefer we use our picks to trade for some of the SA boys who have been drafted in recent...

FF: Betts Podsiadly Porplyzia HF: Lynch Walker Douglas C: Grigg Thompson Sloane HB: Smith Talia Henderson FB: Brown Rutten Shaw R: Jacobs Dangerfield B.Crouch INT: van Berlo Jenkins Kerridge Sub: Otten The two questionable positions for me are Porplyzia and Shaw. At...

List Mgmt. 2013 Trading & Free Agency

If we're going to deal with North Melbourne, would rather we look at Brad McKenzie. Could use another left footer and elite ball user.

List Mgmt. 2013 Trading & Free Agency

Another player I would love us to have a crack at (particularly if the Hendo rumours are true) is Curtly Hampton. Have watched a few GWS games this year and his run off half back has been superb. I am not sure on his contract status and I am sure GWS would not want to let him go but would be...

List Mgmt. 2013 Trading & Free Agency

Spot on. Whilst I would not be opposed to us picking up Betts, I certainly don’t think we should be paying any more than $400k a season. Personally I would prefer we offer Ben Kennedy overs, say $300k a season for 3 years, rather than pay more than $400k a season for Betts. I know Kennedy is...

Brisbane Lions v Geelong Cats (4.40pm)

Unbelievable win. Not sure if it was the third or the last quarter but who'd have thought the ricochet off the umpire in the middle of the ground that led to a Zorko goal when Brisbane were about 40 points down would be the difference?

If you were in charge of the club at trade week..

GUNSTON à Hawks Hawks player or DPs received via trade à GWS GWS Mini DP#2 à Adelaide Don’t think Gunston would be enough for GWS MDP#1 MARIC + 2nd round pick à Richmond Bock CP à Adelaide ARMSTRONG à Sydney Sydney player or DP à GWS Luke Brown à Adelaide Possibly would need to throw in a...

    Potential Trade Targets (Part 2)

No doubt. It was merely a suggestion on how we could trade for the mini-draft pick without sacrificing the Davis compensation pick.
  18. Return of DMack

    Potential Trade Targets (Part 2)

According to Emma Quayle, GWS are interested in draft picks rather than players for their mini-draft selections. In light of this, what do people think of the following trade? Adelaide Lose - Pick 10, Gunston Gain - Pick 18, GWS Mini DP (Kennedy) Hawks Lose - Pick 24, Player to Kangaroos...

    Past Player - Patrick Dangerfield

Re: ND Pick # 10 - Patrick Dangerfield - Geelong Falcons I was majorly disappointed at first that we passed on Ebert, but having looked at the highlights of Dangerfield he could be exactly what the club needs. Blistering pace and great at stoppages. The Crows struggled in clearances this season...

The wash up of trade week

I can't make sense of how we need a key defender. Rutten is an AA fullback and one of the best in the comp. Bock IMO is the Crows best option at CHB and could be an AA in that position if played there for a whole season. He has clearly played his best football there. Add to this McGregor (who...

    Brad Symes

I'm not sure why so many people seem to be pigeon-holing Symes as a HBF. Most midfielders start either on a HBF or HFF before moving into the midfield. His ball-winning ability would certainly be an asset at the Crows and the club is in desperate need of introducing more young midfielders with...

    Draft Ian Callinan!

Looked composed in the Grand Final and he seems like a fairly reliable kick for goal (something that the Crows could definitely use). Surely worth a spot over some of the 26-29y.o. players. Perhaps worth a PSD pick.
