F/S rule is a real acknowledgement of heritage. Not a token gesture, like wearing a "heritage" jumper, or Est 1870 on your back.
The same rule that allowed Brad Ebert, a surname that is Port Adelaide be drafted by the WCE, and yet JBrown play at Brisbane.
In the AFL's eyes your heritage...
I did

What does not make sense is why the Power have similar rules to the Crows. We were founded in 1990 so it makes sense to draw from the SANFL teams we represent.
We are told Port were a club before 1997. So why do they draw from Centrals...
It seems odd to me that Port now have to trade to get him to the club.
His Dad, Craig, played over 100 games for the Power. Since the AFL recognise the Power EST 1870 as it adorns their backs, why was he not availiable to them as a Father Son pick?
Afterall JBrown's dad only played 50...
Well done Relapse nice to see some real stats and not crap from Wiki.
Interesting to note the low numbers of concession members for the Power. The club is 140 year old, one would think they would have a greater percentage of consession (ie older) members than Crows. But they dont.
Also Port's...
Considering he has been handicapped by the Richmond jumper expect those stats to rise.
Afterall Rodan and Schulz at Richmond hardly set the world on fire.
D_Ole, your comments re Tambling would apply to both of them.
I note that Tambling does not want to go to Port, despite your record...
I have thought about enquiring about getting him to play kick to kick with my nephews. But he might sook too much.
Harlem Globetrotters could sign him up?
He could kick footys into the bball ring from the stands.
BTW Carey kicked more goals for us over two years than any other Port forward...
Surely a club's best forward (and third best ever) is worth a first or second pick plus player at least?
Ports list of forwards in the AFL, rated in terms of goals per game
Cummings 2.60 gpg (two seasons)
Tredrea 2.20 gpg
Motlop 1.6 gpg
Ebert 1.5 gpg
In contrast
Modra 3.6
Jarman...
Mcleod has a job with the AFL doing something similar for Aboriginal players. But Johncock is there to help as well.
After reading Macca's book there is no way he would have stayed in Football if he was abused by his own supporters. He was in a similar situation in the mid 90s. Richmond...
So you are basically saying Lobbe is finished as an AFL ruck. He is a dinosaur.
The new rule does not automatically mean clubs will play one Ruck. It may mean one less tall defender. ie Chappy may actually have to be accountable instead of playing "loose". Without the luxury of having Carlile...
Port were willing to give up pick 16 for Wallis, lucky that didnt backfore on em.
Anyway, good luck to the pair. I am sure they will enjoy the many prelims they will play in.
Unlike their Daddy's they may even win one. Just like Geelong's sons and Grand Finals.
How much are your SACA + SANFL tickets now.
Is it far off $1,000 now? Any extra is a premium for the new stadium. Is it worth the extra? Bear in mind you get your new stand this cricket season.
I dont really understant your rating system. If you are ranking people, as the Caste system does, those denoted Caste 1 should be "better" than Caste 5. Much like the Premiership ladder. Also in the Indian caste system there are fewer people at the higher levels, so Norf supporters should be a...
Port make the Doggies use a first round pick to select Mitchell Wallis.

Poor form from a club that likes to boast about tradition and history, Father Son rule being an attempt by the AFL to keep...
Assgardian must be obsessed with our recruiting manager.
Check out his thread on the Port board.
Are you related to the Ebert's? Passing Brad over Patty?
Appply the Port BnF philosophy and Brad Symes would be a three time BnF.
Luckily we dont reward mediocrity. Our club does not give its highest personal award out to a bloke who tags. Not to mention rates a loose key defender and FB in a side with a poor defensive record amongst its top three...
Sadly we will only get to see him in his North jumper, if Port continue to pay his salary. You know the big bad club that blocked Port becoming One with itself? However that works:confused:.
Daresay Rob Chapman had a hand in the Westpac sponsorship at the Crows.
All comes down to personal relationships and influence. Something Haysman is supposed to be a part of, being part of the "Adelaide Clique".
Perfect fit for you guys would be Powerade. Coke brand so no issues there. And...
Carlton were sponsored by Optus for a while then back to Hyundai.
NAB sponsor the AFL, who are a major part of the Rediteller network.
You are sponsored by Mty/Aussie ATM.
Explain that one.
