Whatever happened to 'dancing on thin ice'?
The Lions played way too conservatively against a team who wanted it more for three and a half quarters, then threw off the shackles with insufficient time left. All credit to Melbourne for their sustained pressure.
We had something like 75 marks to...
I'd keep Linc ahead of Kai.
Thought he worked a damn sight harder than Kai. Wouldn't hurt Kai to spend time in the ressies sharpening some basics like defence instead of ineffectual flashy marking efforts.
Linc's first up game after nearly two years out was commendable.
Having seen the new centre-bounce ruck rule in action during the Comunity Series, there is an obvious flaw in the enforcement of rucks not crossing the circle centre line.
There will always be slight variations in the ball throw and fall position, likely to be half to a full metre due to the...
Thanks braddsey, I have those emails but the 4-Feb one seems to refer exclusively to Ticketmaster, and the 6-Feb one doesn't have any barcodes but does look like access to Round 6 tickets might open tomorrow.
In the absence of any updates, I'll try the 13-Feb Suns' email which included 'member...
We are planning to go to the Lions v Melb game at the MCG in Round 6. Ticketing is done by Ticketek and as far as I can ascertain, sales start tomorrow on Ticketek at 10:00am for club members.
I haven't received anything from the club re member barcodes, but did get an email with barcodes...
There is an open training run scheduled at the Sunshine Coast on Fri 30th Jan.
At last year's event, they concluded training with a pseudo intraclub for, from memory, about half an hour or more.
Thanks - managed to secure five unreserved temp grandstand seats. I hope it's not as hot at the ground as this year when they ran out of water at the game.
Geez, they (?the club) left it a bit late to send the info and barcode out - got my email at 11:02am this morning and club member tickets for Gather Round go on sale tomorrow at 9:30am EST!
And still confused whether unreserved grandstand seats at Barossa will be $30 or $60 - getting...
Seeing stories that WC and possibly the Dogs remain interested in Dev, but not much on Jimmy T.
I recall that a while back they were trying him out as a half back in the VFL which suggests he might still be wanted by the Lions?
One thing I noticed in this game - we kicked to leads inside 50 much more than the usual dump kick to a crowd near the goal square.
Results were much better!
I was in the stand directly behind the Lion's bench, and their constant use of most of the eight available interchanges was like a revolving door, restricting the onfield team from settling down into any vestige of smooth operation.
In contrast, Adelaide used only four (different) interchanges...
This is not exactly in line with the thread but since it has to do with seating I thought I'd put it in here.
Yesterday was the Members-only opportunity for fans to buy tickets for, among other things, away games at the MCG, with today being opened to the General Public. I tried getting into...
I take your point Martinson re Harris as General, but i reckon that in the immediate term the collective footy brains of Zorko, Lester and hopefully Coleman/Doedee would do the job.
We don't seem to have the currency in drafting points to get both Levi Ashcroft and Marshall, plus pick up a capable Joe replacement.
In the short term (2025) I don't mind the idea of simply using Fort as a direct replacement, but i also wouldn't mind trying out the following:
- Harris Andrews...
After our 01/02/03 3-peat, statistically I figured it'd be 54 years before our next premiership. Given I'd be a hundred and something by then, I'm glad the boys came good a bit earlier.
Two of my three tickets unlocked just after 10am, but the third remained locked. Also, the share buttons finally appeared but no button for saving to wallet.
By late afternoon, the third barcode appeared along with wallet capabilities.
