Well, another year is gone and another Subiaco pre-season spending spree is underway. :tonguewink:
I would like to wish you all, on behalf of BigFooty, myself and Ljp86 a very merry Christmas and a safe festive season. Please take care and we will catch you all again shortly. :footy::rainbow:
As the name suggests, come and vent in here, without fear of cards, if you're an eagles supporter. Not sure this applies to you ep2006???
Get it off your chest and I'll even let you cry on my broad shoulders. ;)
Whilst this is a banter thread and we will allow more leeway in terms of things said, please still be careful of not going over the top and we will still moderate.
Other than that, fire away and have some fun, without making the kiddies cry. ;)
There is supposed to be a review of the alignments at the end of this season by the WAFL. What do you reckon they will find? What should they find?
I'm guessing they'll say, see, Peel and East Perth didn't both finish in the finals so it's not producing the powerful teams you were fearful of...
Hope all the WAFL Bigfooty posters have a Happy and safe Easter.
Keep Red Tulip in business and enjoy. :thumbsu: May your footy team win, or at least not disappoint you. :footy::footy::footy:
Rather belatedly, as with most things I have attempted this year, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Be careful of yourselves and your loved ones.
Swannies :footy::footy::footy:
Most clubs are now back at training and the ability to get WAFL information is fairly difficult, so if you have any info like players training with your club, pre-Xmas BBQs, functions, anything you like, post it in here.
To start with, I have nothing, except I saw Matt Rogers training at Basso...
OK, before everyone goes off, just remember what the going joke during the week was.:p
I would prefer posters to vent in this thread, which will go largely unchecked, except the usual swearing and personal attacks requisites. This moratorium only applies to Eagles posters, so other team's...
Was talking to a colleague at work today, who thought that this was Josh Hill's best game in the AFL.
I thought he was exceptional, and it got me to thinking, maybe he was right, could that be his best game ever? Any supporters can buy into this one. ;)
Either way, massive kudos to him...
OK people, we've got to get NicNat over the line against the serial aerialist Howe, so vote for his mark on the AFL website:
http://markoftheyear.afl.com.au/
OK, people, please keep all vents, negative threads, say what you want in this thread?
I'll start the ball rolling by saying that when you go a player down in the first 5 minutes, with the modern game you are up against it and I'd like to know the number of teams that win if they go a player...
Well, on a weekend where there are only 2 AFL games I'm a bit staggered there are only 2 WAFL games on. The Friday night is an excellent idea though, and I will be going to that one, although not sure who I'm cheering for? :p
Fri night, Lions v Falcons, Leederville
A rivalry that has...
I haven't been on the board, or helping larri and fivey much :( the last few months, but I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Festive Season. :thumbsu:
Hopefully I can get to see some pre-season training early in the new year, the Eagles improve crazily :footy: and I can get more...
Congrats to the Tigers on winning the WAFL premiership for 2012. :thumbsu:
Love them, or hate them, you've got to admire the season they've had, winning the Foxtel Cup, producing the Sandover Medallist (congrats to Kane Mitchell) and winning the WAFL premiership.
Was saying to a Claremont...
For the 6th year the WAFL is celebrating NAIDOC week, with a traditional welcome to country before each game. Each club participating in this week's round of fixtures are wearing a specially designed guernsey. Some of the guernsey's look absolutely terrific.
Who has been your favourite...
This has long frustrated me about football supporters, myself included with certain Swan Districts players, in particular, although they do deserve it. :p Although I can admit when they are playing well, sometimes. :o
I remember some clown who sits behind me at Subi, bagging the crap out of...
Some more very interesting games this weekend, none moreso than the Sharks v Swans and Falcons v Lions games.
Sharks v Swans, East Freo Oval
East Fremantle and Swan Districts are both in terrific winning form and sit comfortably inside the top-four heading into what should be a terrific...
Taken from the WAFL site again, sorry people I'll get time one day soon to be prepared early.
SUBIACO v CLAREMONT
Subiaco is looking not only for revenge from last year's grand final when it takes on Claremont at Medibank Stadium, but the Lions also need to bounce back from two losses over...
Big weekend of fixtures, starting with the Derby, which should epitomise the ANZAC spirit. :D I've taken the preview from the WAFL website, so a big thanks to them for doing some great write ups for the round.
Sharks v Bulldogs – EAST FREMANTLE OVAL, SATURDAY 2.10PM
The first Fremantle derby...
Well, at least I feel better about myself after trying to cheat and pinch the WAFL Round 6 Preview from the WAFL web page. They haven't done it either.:D I have however, taken these previews from the Football Budget, who have done a great job with their write ups.
Anyway, on to Round...
Apologies for being so slack to start the season, hopefully I can turn it around. :p I'll start doing a write up and complete it as the week goes on, or if you feel like doing a preview of your team's game, feel free to add it in here.
Lions v Sharks, Leederville, Friday 6:45pm
The...
OK, only a couple of weeks until the season proper so I better start getting organised for the tipping.
As with last year, I'll just put up each round's fixtures and you can then submit your tips. I'll try and organise another BFSC membership for the winner so if you're willing to try and...
Sorry I haven't been around as much lately, still mourning the season that was for Swans. :)
Seasons Greetings and a safe new year to all you wonderful posters on this board.
Thanks for making the board as entertaining and informative, in a positive atmosphere for anyone contributing...
BF, as it has done for a number of years now, is putting together season reviews' for each and every AFL player.
The baton has been handed to the BF community to do the write ups for us. Initially I have contacted the sponsor, to see if they are in a position to do a write up in the next 2...
It's only a week until pre-season training starts, according to my email from Swans, so I figure we'd start a thread where we can shoot the breeze about all things pre-season. Who's tearing it up, who's training with whom and the like.
Swans are having a sausage sizzle at their first...
Many have probably seen this, it's on the latest I50 programme. If you haven't it's worth the watch/listen. If you have, it's still worth the listen.
