Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn: Pick 23, Sam Butler

I remember in his first year Nathan Bock tried to run through him and cyril took the impact, wrapped his arm up and stripped him HTB. Bock was 100kg. Ridiculous strength.

One thing you hate about your team

Hawthorns inability to draft & develop key defenders. Name one that wasnt traded.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Nick 'the Wizard' Watson!

Dogs and Melbourne were taking Watson if we didnt. Melbourne were dead keen on him. Forget height. Small forward is the only position it doesnt really matter, he is so unbelievably clean with his ball handling. I got no idea how to post clips but did anyone see that goal he kicked where he...

    Game Day Round 22, 2023 : Hawks V Dogs, UTAS 1:10pm Sunday 13th Aug

Worpel has been hitting targets well today. DGB is just too small. For either fwd or back. Scrimshaw has been great.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Pick 7, Cam MacKenzie, extends to 2026!

I reckon Mckenzie just needs another preseason in the gym and some good form on the Track. He has everything he needs just needs to back himself and stay involved. I'm almost certain he make it

Preview Round 4, 2023: Geelong v Hawthorn, MCG 3:20pm Easter Monday 10th April

Id be pretty keen to have a forward tag on Stewart.

    Unofficial Preview Round 1, 2023: Hawthorn v Essendon, MCG 3.20pm March 19th

Its why I think we might surprise a few this year and be far from the bottom. If Morrison or Scrimshaw aren't in your 22, you're doing OK. Spoon sides don't have players that capable not getting a game

Rules you would like to see implemented

When a player gets chased down with clear prior opportunity, falls forward and gets a free for in the back.. pay it holding the ball. So frustrating.

Autopsy Hawthorn v Collingwood - Practice match - Thursday 2nd March, UTAS

Maybe not poor, but lost a few key contests especially early. Did get better and maybe a tad harsh but he'd want to improve on that showing.

Autopsy Hawthorn v Collingwood - Practice match - Thursday 2nd March, UTAS

Bramble scored a pass mark for me but would want to be better. Nash was poor, as were Frost, Blanck, Hardwick, Butler, Breust and DGB(for his limited time on)

Something not mentioned as far as I can see, but Finn also did a great job on Nick Daicos. Didn't notice him at all

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Pick 7, Cam MacKenzie, extends to 2026!

My thoughts. That performance would have got him a rising star nomination most weeks in regular season.

    Training 2022 - 2023 Off-Season and Pre-Season training Watch

Bramble was better than average by foot in 2020 when he was fit and one of the better players when we were getting beaten badly. I saw him as a link man similar to a steel sidebottom role. He has smarts and vision. I reckon there will be a few eating their words on Bramble

Hawks will make a comeback I reckon. We are 5th quarter specialists.

Nash? Scrimshaw is three times the player. Ditto Morris. Morris shows promise but no indication he has near the talent of Scrimshaw. If Scrimshaw is fit, and not getting a game, there will be clubs circling like vultures. Automatic 22 lock for me.

    Prediction Ladder predictions 2023

I just dont buy the assessment that we will be spoon candidates this year. This team reads like a team ready to jump not a team ready to Tank. We lost experience but gunners and big boy didn't play much last year. Shiels was cooked. Amon cancels out losing jaeger. Mitchell is a loss, but we are...

    Top 5 finals performances

Buddy's performance vs Adelaide in the 07 qualifying final has to be up there. He kicked 7 total, Adelaide seemed to be taking control of the game yet Buddy dragged Hawthorn back in it. 3 of his 7 were in the last QTR (2 of them from 60 out) and one with 5 seconds to go.

    Player Watch Tom Mitchell

The most unfairly maligned player in the comp. Gets slammed because he's not- a great short kick, rather than what he is- close to the best clearance player in the comp when he's on. Was back to best the second half of 2021, so he isn't damaged goods. Had his bounce ratio halved this season so...

Game Day 2022 AFL Grand Final : Geelong v Sydney

I dont understand why, but I kind of want Buddy to dominate, Sydney to win and Buddy to get his flag, yet the same thought about Issac Smith makes me sick. I absolutely do not want him to win and aren't barracking for him In any way. I have no idea why. It should be the same, but its how I...
