The great thing about Nank is he doesn't blaze away. He attacks the play but takes his time to find an option. The more he plays, the better he should get at finding the better option more often... Nicks is a dumb arse for not getting him more games last year and not playing him rd1.
Gee Nicks is dumb to think the answer to winning this game was subbing in ******* Murphy in middle of the third... Even with Pedlar playing like s**t....
Each year the club seems to get mesmerized by Sholl dodging training cones and teammates over the summer then takes a month or two to finally drop him...
All you can do is laugh at the sop story coming from the coaches and Brodie himself: "aww guys he's totes sorry about his form - see how much he shook his fist in frustration on Friday?!?!!😭😭😭... Dodging a few training cones and the SANFL players during the week should fix it tho... He'll just...
At least DMac was just super average - you play him and you know what you'll get: not a match winner but he probably won't f* up to much either.
Murphy is legitimately poor for his position.
Nicks appeared to be roasting Rachelle on the bench before (somewhat fairly tbh). Murphy has been worse but the bar is so ******* low for him that Nicks probably doesn't even notice...
Nicks seems to really struggle with the 19-23rd player picked each week... It's why we get dumb s**t decisions like picking Soligo as sub, Borlase over Keane, his 2023 obsessions with Sloane/Murphy, ignoring the form of Nank/Worrell in previous years...
So, according to the umpires, in about 40 minutes of football, the bottom of the ladder side has played the game so fairly despite losing the game that they haven't given away ONE free?!
Did Nicks just "we're playing well except the goal kicking" during his half time interview? Like this isn't how we've kicked all ******* year?!
^^so much this^^
Apart from his s**t skills, ROB's biggest issue is his massive ego and thinking he's Dean Cox reincarnate... he constantly gets in the way of better players in better positions.
We're ******* around with it too long. On a wet night, the "just get it forward" move is better more often than not.
We're dropping everything, it's better to be dropping it 40m closer to goal...
The Apricot Slice Brigade almost had a coronary when Scott Thompson played SANFL in his last year. They will be much worse this time. Sloane will play all 23 games if fit.
