Appears to be all but confirmed that new colour blindness accessibility guidelines for World Rugby will be brought forward from 2025 to this month's World Cup, meaning that a lot of dark vs dark match-ups will require one team wearing a predominantly light jersey.
People are salty about the...
Just sent out to Qld Reds fans, this 'retro jersey" to celebrate their 140th anniversary 2023 Queensland Reds Mens Retro Jersey
Having Canterbury return as the apparel partner helps recapture most of the classic 90s look:
I feel like the slightest tweaking the hoops and logos up/down on the sleeves could get the proper Steelers look, but still think this is dope.
There's a bitter irony about the major sponsor being St George, so that's written in big letters across the jersey of the club they consumed.
I reckon it's been surpassed by 2022's. Maybe only the cuff and number collar feel wrong, but otherwise the colour and width of the stripes is perfect.
Started a few years ago, going back to the traditional look.
The sentiment is nice, but I can't express how much I hate this… The gold, the map, the fade, the club names, the collar. In a crowded field, this could be the Reds' worst ever jersey
Today I learned… Marbold is the 1993 digitisation of Marvin Bold, the original 1969 typeface. Anyway, for other font nerds out there, an awesome reinterpretation has been done called Marvin Visions, available for download (free for personal use) here https://www.readvisions.com/marvin
(which...
I was scared that it was going to be Fortescue so this is a welcome relief. Happy with the Cadbury logo – it's a bit like the Schweppes sleeve logo in 1995. Especially with the return to darker gold.
I'm really disappointed that these have gone from being about commemoration and sombre remembrance, and now become 'defence' jerseys, with camo and planes and insignia. Seems tacky and in poor taste. ANZAC commemoration should be about mourning the senseless loss of life, rather than...
So close but so far with this suite of jerseys. The home is disappointing – they had a chance to do something about the sidepanels and the sponsor logo, but they didn't. It's hard to know what they were trying to do with the away strip, but they've ended up with something that looks like the old...
Interesting that they're worrying about this at the moment - the current jerseys are probably the best shade of gold we've seen. Certainly since Asics came on board in 2014 it hasn't been an issue - largely stuck to a similar gold worn in 1999. Kooga/BLK were far too yellow, but then the...
I agree, just do the sleeves and it would look sick. I mean, even just on the gold jumper - just put the design, unfaded, in dark green on the gold jumper and it would look a treat.
OK so this has probably been done a million times before, but just thought I'd put my 2 bobs worth on the North jumper. I feel like it could be so much simpler.
Fatten the stripes. Way out almost to the sleeve.
Lose the pinstripes
Stop cutting off the stripes for logos on the front, and stop...
What's the obsession with erasing these VFA clubs?
Northern Blues and Casey Demons are bad enough. How long until they're the Bayside Saints or something?
Any idea why the Brumbies wore navy jumper and navy shorts v the Reds yesterday, when the Reds' 2019 kit is already so dark? Wasn't the easiest game to follow when you were at the ground and both teams were in the shade…
