Game Day 2023 Round 24 Discussion - GRAND FINAL WEEK

+1 for Drury on field while Dunkley's 99 stranded on the bench. FMSCL. Life interupted me checking subs and that kent Drury hadnt been sighted for months. First time no check subs and got bent over and rogered. It was my partners sc team and still won all prelims, why am I still salty?

Academy 2022 Next Generation Academy Players

Josh Bennetts won the Eastern Ranges B&F playing off a half forward flank. Try finding that anywhere as well...just heard it last night from an itk who saw every eastern ranges game. Been told he has footy smarts and is a goal kicker and has good skills. Hope to see him in Hawks colors.

Game Day Round 1 Match Day Discussion - And Away We Go !

I'll give him a few weeks and see what happens. No rookies going are guarenteed any better than 60 so nothing lost taking the risk with him. When running through the middle he showed good signs. He was on 52 at the half against the #1 team so imo its a good first game and see what happens...

Game Day Round 1 Match Day Discussion - And Away We Go !

4/406 includes Dow on field. Dow I see as a high priced rookie, so not panicking. Cripps score the bigger disappointment. Was on track for a 100+ at ht.

Game Day Round 1 Match Day Discussion - And Away We Go !

Pretty good game, have Dusty, Short, Cripps, Dow. Enjoyed the Dow posts 1st qtr, thought he was a spud but, he's settled and his 52 at the half is better than expected. Cripps been a bull, as has dusty, Short could be worse. You blokes on here are real comedians, thank you for the laughs.

    Round 11 Discussion (TheOz Edition)

At the risk of "Who the hell are you!" haha I'm posting. Long time reader, first time poster. On the upside I didnt trade Kelly. Suspected he would be back and his 45 in the first qtr is a good start. He's really burning those that traded him out. On the downside I traded out Fogarty for Tim...

    Autopsy Hawks v Bloooooooos

Hey Moginie, just checked the time on ground stats to see if that supported what I just mentioned about mitchell and gibson. Found this: Sam Mitchel 87% TOG Josh Gibson 100% TOG Partially supports my Mitchell observation, but says that Gibson was on ground all the time. I was watching the game...

    Autopsy Hawks v Bloooooooos

Hi all. I don't post much, as you will notice. However, I am a keen Hawks supporter and Supercoacher, and, after watching the game yesterday and looking at the Supercoach scores, after half time Mitchell and Gibson were off the ground for long periods of time. Instead of Sam racking up stats in...

2011 Captains Mega Thread (Part 2)

Re: Captain round 23 Illnino - Cox was scoring well until Nic Nat came back in the side, since then, his scores have dropped off and there has been talk he is carrying an injury. Ablett could have a blinder against the Dee's, its the MCG and Dee's have been ordinary this year. Buddy is...

2011 Captains Mega Thread (Part 2)

Re: Captain round 23 Forgot to mention that Stevie J had the bye last week and should be well rested for the game on Saturday. Max 18 degrees, no rain forecast, some clouds. Perfect conditions. Also, the Cattery is a fortress for Geelong, they don't lose there and it is a ground opposition...

2011 Captains Mega Thread (Part 2)

Re: Captain round 23 What about Stevie J at Skilled stadium? Last 3 average is 146. He has scored v Melb 199 and V GC 155. Cats dominate down there, surely he should be considered strongly for Captain? Swan, Ablett or Stevie J and the decision is a tough one. Thoughts.
