Also teammates seem more confident to use him than in the past. Gets more rewards for his hard running

I agree he is definitely contest shy. A few moments, from the last two games in particular, he would probably like back but he has never really been a bums up head down player probably just finding himself in more contests as he slows down.
I reckon we may have among the largest number of ‘closet’ supporters in the country. Would be interesting to do a poll.
Official memberships are only one indicator. I know heaps of cats supporters and not one is a member.
True.. Apart from the usual suspects Blicavs, Miers ,we have a decent cohort of other guys who can rack up the Ks during a game. Jack Henry often up amongst the top distance covered in a game is interesting
Could the even 20ish numbers amongst midfield operators just indicate good management and rotations?
I’m not a stats wonk, so just a theory.
If that is the case then it would bode well that we do not rely too heavily on one or two players. Would also make it harder for oppositions to counter.
