List Mgmt. Hawthorn 2018 Trade discussion NO OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS Part 3

Re Burton. Not that they have any say in it but it would be interesting to know what the rest of the playing group think. Would they prefer Burton or Wyngard. Anybody spoken directly to other players?

List Mgmt. Hawthorn 2018 Trade discussion NO OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS Part 3

I've been a member since 2008 but don't post because I live in a time warp in Brisbane where no information is available. I do read all on the Hawks everyday on this website just trying to keep in touch with the happenings. If I read correctly we have picks 15, 35 and 53 and will probably have...

Autopsy 2018 JLT 2: Hawks vs Blues, Saturday March 10 @ UTAS, 19:05 EDT

Only watching on Fox but from what I've seen tonight against an ordinary up and coming team be prepared for a very, very long frustrating season. Same as last year no forward can take a decent mark yet we still bomb the ball forward. What ever happened to having a full forward and centre half...

    Preview Round 7, 2017: Melbourne v Hawthorn, 7 May 2017, 3.20pm @ MCG

Sooner or later and preferably sooner, the forwards ( whoever they are ) will have to play the way forwards always have. That is lead to the incoming ball user. This rubbish of bombing it into the forward line when there are no reliable contested marks there always brings us undone. I read about...

Autopsy Hawks v The Streak.... vomits in mouth

We all know this year is finished as far as finals go. Next year we will lose a few experienced players to retirement and have no early draft picks to replace them with. There a still a lot of good footballers to be had with mid or even high draft picks if our recruiters and talent scouts are on...

The Training the House Down 2017 edition thread (2017 pre-season)

Not sure if this is the right thread. Mods can move it if not. I am just back from sunny Maroochydore where the boys went through a solid 2.5 hour training session. Started with stretching drills, warm up laps, group ball handling drills and some match practice. The temperature was pushing 30...

No Oppo Supporters Sam Mitchell traded

I too have seen all the premierships and one name that should be mentioned is an undersized ruckman named Don Scott. While not a prolific ball winner the sheer mongrel in him won Hawthorn so many games. Obviously not the best player of all time but in my opinion right up there with the best.

List Management | End of year discussion

I still can;t understand how we can list Glass and Nash as cat B rookies when they are both Irish and according to posters who claim to know the rules clubs are only allowed one. Is this a mistake that may have to be rectified when big brother looks at it?

List Management | End of year discussion

FoxSports has given HFC final list. It includes Glass and Nash as cat B rookies and no Tweedle. I thought we were only allowed 1 Irishman as cat B

Delisted free agents - sifting through the neighbor's bins

If we are really going to recruit Henderson why haven't we announced it already. There is no reason to wait till the end of the delist period is there?

No Oppo Supporters Sam Mitchell traded

What could piss me off more than Sam leaving?. Sam joining Eagles during trade period then on Nov 15 after Jab gets stripped of his medal they declare Cotchin Richmond and Mitchell Eagles the new Brownlow medalists

List Mgmt. 2016 Trade, Draft and free agency news (no hypothetical trades)

Watched Ben Jarman closely in today's under 18 game. Great kick when had the ball but didn't get a lot of it. Wonder if he did enough for our recruiters to nominate him as father/son pick. Anyone else with thoughts on him and when do we have to confirm interest.

List Mgmt. 2016 Trade, Draft and free agency news (no hypothetical trades)

After watching tonight's game the coaches will know which of this 22 are can be put up for trade. For mine Sicily & Hartung can go along with Hill who wants out. Fitspatrick is not the answer up forward and neither is Shoey so we need to trade for marking forwards as well as mids. Then we have...

Universal Love Are the Hawks better than........

I often wonder if the current players will be held in the same high regard as those of the previous successful eras seeing most of them seem to fly under the radar. When you think of Matthews, Dermie, Plats, Ayres, Knights, Tucky, Mew, Scott, Langford etc.etc.etc will the players of today be...

    Training Training Thread

The HFC website said Saturday open training from 12 O'clock. I arrived at 11.30 only to be told training started at 8 a.m. and was finished for the day. Not to pleased as I had an hour drive to get there.

    The Cups on tour!

Got there at 11a.m. and was number ticket no. 151. Took till about 12.30 to get to the cups area for photos but sure was worth it. The girl handing out tickets said she was up to 700 and as I was driving out there was a steady flow of cars still entering the car park. Only adults had to get...

Autopsy Nab Challenge: Match 1 - Hawthorn vs Collingwood (Feb 26 Aurora Stadium) - autopsy from page 18

I couldn't give a rats about the poor performance of the new kids. What really stood out for me was the poor effort of the two who had a taste last year and were the designated replacements for any of our injured midfield/runners. Woody and Hartung showed nothing and that to me is a worry. These...

Why we are the family club

I have always followed Hawthorn. My parents always followed Hawthorn. My adult kids have always followed Hawthorn. Recently one of my kids had some bad medical news with a condition that will take time to overcome. One of her friends let someone at HFC know about her problem. Shortly after a...

Analysis Training Watch - Off Season

For those wanting pictures of today's training session a photographer from the Sunshine Coast Daily newspaper was taking snaps all through the session and told me there would be a segment in Sunday's paper. There is also a terrific interview with Sam Mitchell in today's paper. I don't know how...

Analysis Training Watch - Off Season

Just back from Maroochydore training session. Weather low 20's and drizzly. Boys started with laps then broke into different groups for match practice and various drills. They all looked very toned for so early in the preparation. Some didn't seem to get involved with drills but were using...
