I'm really happy with the talls in defence this year. We are better balanced. However there are a couple of blokes down there that s**t the bed every time they are challenged in a big game. We all know who they are and we just have to make change. Enough is enough. I'm genuinely feeling fatigued...
Off topic I know but number 15 - Umpire Matt Nicholls destroyed us again last night. He has a hell of a record of free against us. If you go back over the games he has umpired us, it's pretty disturbing.
I don't understand why Williams is a fringe player. He is tough, a good kick, wins contested ball and is great decision maker in heavy traffic. He never panics.
There is something the coaches obviously don't like.
- Jones ..... enough is enough. Has to go and it's not just this week he has cost us goals.
- Dixon. We all knew he would miss that. Been happening for years and years and years....
- Butters was great again. Someone wrote earlier in the thread that Zac was poor. Absolute rubbish. When he was...
Burton and Jones really struggle when the heat is on. We have seen.it over and over the last couple of years.
Defence has been great.
Forward line has been atrocious. There is no way those forwards are giving 100 percent.
I was looking forward to the season starting but this game has a lot of what I hate about the way the game is played. I blame both coaches for this rubbish.
We have been conceding the ruck for many years. Soldo and Sweet will give the midfield a completely different look. Got what we need now. The missing pieces hey...
I just had a look back at our games this season, Interestingly, Umpire Brendan Hosking had us for one other game this season against St Kilda at Marvel and we lost the free kicks that game 28-14. I don't have the individual umpire stats on frees that game but this guy is suspicious imo.
My concern is that Geelong are actually not very good. Had them on toast really and Geelong then kick the last 4 of the game.
Was a pretty standard script. With all the injuries, there was no real expectations of a win which is why we went ok, then we found ourselves in front, so then of...
When the box of balls came out late yesterday, I remember thinking they all looked pretty shiny and that weren't really comparable. One of the umpires basically shrugged his shoulders and made a suggestion which they went with.
I love my sport but I hated last night. Knew what i was going to get from Port in the early minutes of the game and England had 20 on the board in the first two overs. This ended with an 8 goal loss and 9 for 389.
I was getting frustrated and angry flicking between the 2 channels with Wife...
Everyone knows he caught it including the English. In all my years of playing and watching, I've never seen a decision like it. I think Duckett just had to walk off.
