Correct North are pulling lots of talent from the Riverina, but having 46 player points is a big advantage to do that.
Great to see the hoppers on the up as they have battled for a while. Dare I say it, but I think a little bit of credit should go to Aker. Many years ago when he was involved...
2024 O&M Bigfooty Thread Summary to date according to me.
5 most discussed topics:
1. BigLarry76
2. Gary Ablett (mostly senior, some jnr)
3. Prime Train
4. Corowa FNC
5. 2024 O&M Football
With respect to BigLarry76 (and his 4-5 other accounts), I get that some people loved his work and only...
Players that have come from another club within the same league should never reduce to 1 point, the lowest they can go is 2 points. If they change clubs again the lowest they can go is 3 points.
Think of Muller as a recent example. North Albury - he can go to 1 point.
Raiders - can only...
Has anyone considered looking for or starting a Gary Ablett thread?
Seems to be a lot of stories and interest about him, would probably be best in a specific thread about Gary. I don’t mind reading about him, but the topic of Gary Ablett Snr is hardly 2024 O&M related which is what I’m here for.
Correct. Don't know if it is 100% happening just yet, but from what I’ve heard Peaches has been given a job opportunity that would be hard to turn down.
The moment he appears, everyone just needs to “ignore” his posts. He can come in and say what he wants but no one will read it. He’ll soon get the message.
I think I read it correctly in the Border Mail that a number of clubs from different leagues are being investigated for salary cap breaches after last season.
Towards the end of the story it mentioned something about AFL Barwon dishing $500 suspended fines for clubs failing to do something. Gee...
I didn't get to see the Albury banner, but there was plenty of chat amongst the people near me on the hill. I got the general idea it was them telling us that they promote juniors. Does anyone know exactly what it said?
As for the crowd. Very ordinary, but not surprising. Most local footy...
From what I was told he signed a 3 year deal when he first came to the club. His payments were weighted heavily towards the end of that contract, so next season would be when he receive most of his money.
Would have to be the only Morris Medal winner to have a punched or attempted to punch a spectator in the year he won it.
Still shaking my head at this whole thing! Apparently video evidence wasn't enough yet it is in EVERY other case.
Hope the magpies win and win well. However I'm not sure of...
It was in a gallery of pics from the weekend of sport around the region. If I can find a link I'll post it. I tried to upload pics yesterday but the files are too big apparently.
Anyone else see the pictures on the border mail site of a Bulldogs players (don't know who he is) collecting Packer of Albury with what looks like a pretty flush elbow to the chin?
I'm assuming it either didn't look as bad on the day and didn't make the video for it to avoid a report or review.

Pretty good summary of the whole thing.
As I posted earlier, not a lot in it, but a lot more than there should be. To say there's insufficient evidence is ridiculous!
I don't mind this kind of concept.
Scrap interleague! It was once a great idea and was once well supported by players and clubs and was once the aim of local players to play the highest standard possible.
Here's my thoughts on a way forward.
I think you need to stretch it further then 4...
Am I the only person to have seen the vision of a prominent Tigers player lashing out at a Myrtleford supporter? There's not a lot of contact in it, but it had potential to become a seriously ugly incident.
Or is it just being swept under the O&M carpet?
Judging by your previous posts, I think I've got a pretty clear idea of who you are.
I'd say it's no surprise in Lavi circles either. Saker is in his 6th year as coach, from conversations I've been apart of he feels he's given it his best shot and is looking to give the club a chance to find...
It has got me stuffed why the vision has always remained so 'off limits' to the public. I would've thought having every game videod and available to be watched online would be a great way to promote the league and generate interest.
They could have a highlights package online once a week or...
Don't know if this is a current thread or not, but here goes.
Lavington Panthers FC are looking for some practice matches to complete preparations for the 2017 Ovens & Murray season. Dates we are looking for are March 11 and 18. Would prefer to have the 18th at Lavington Oval. Any clubs...
