I gave this one a try. It was fun. It makes the game a lot more frantic in terms of time with the ball but once I got used to it, it was very easy. In some ways easier than usual because I got so many HTB calls against the AI which I rarely get.
I assume the next step will be a "reverse retro" trend where clubs alter old designs or mix and match retro elements into a new design like they do in the NHL.
I actually like the idea of a yoke, in fact I made almost this exact same design many years ago, it may have had an outlined monogram too which was before they started using it on previous clash kits. I just think they needed to be more careful with positioning. The overlapping number is bizarre...
The whole logo blends into the background because it uses the same colours and pattern. They could have at least added an adjustment filter over the background.
Am I the only one that thinks the logo looks terrifying? I hear people say it's dated but to me it's genuinely unsettling, maybe it's the crazy, possessed eye, the long unkempt fur and the overly stretched out jaw, like it's been snapped wide open. It's nightmare fuel.
As for the jumper, my...
But you're assuming the budget was completely used up and that if artists stopped working at a certain point then programmers would have received more time (probably not exactly what you're saying but that's the only conclusion that I can draw).
Really the only thing that is clear is that the...
You keep saying this but why is it a given that photogrammetry and making stadiums effects gameplay? You're implying that the budget is wasted on the art department and it's taking away from the programming department but it's a lot easier to find artists than it is to find programmers and Big...
I like to see these AFL 23 custom kits but I think some of your colours are too bright and saturated. I think you could be a bit more careful with logo placement too although I know the controls are very touchy.
I thought that they would go with a new jumper purely to keep the state jumper a representative jumper. If people don't mind then I think it's fine though. It's a classic design that already has a strong brand to it. No offense to the designs in this thread but every pitch I've seen just feels...
Richmond's sash will extend to the back on their clash jumper next year. I imagine the number will be hard to read, they either need a thicker black outline or just cut the sash at the numbers, they could do that for the home too.
(Reposting this from the Gold Coast board)
I made a series of designs using the Academy on AFL 23. This one ended up being my favourite. Sorry that the sponsors aren't quite right, I downloaded whichever ones I could find.
