    Preview Changes V Bombers

If Butts is out, then Curtin should come in. Whoever comes in for Crouch will be the sub so it makes no difference. Sholl, Pedlar? Probably Pedlar as it wont expose his serious lack of fitness.

    Review Good vs Carlton

If I had a CBA with Dawson, Laird and Berry then yes. If it was Rankine, Soligo and Dawson.... Id take the first 2, not that Dawson is in any way bad but he is a better long kick IMO.

    Review Good vs Carlton

-Ball movement, when we move it quick we are a completely different side. It takes the entire team to do this, hopefully we click from now on. -Soligo, since is first couple of games everyone has been on board with this guy, just a continual, linear improvement from a winger having a good game...

Game Day Crows v Dees - Gather Round for a Crows Win

Also a midfielder who let Ben Cousins run riot has a coaching plan which allows midfielders to run riot ie. Rowell, Parish, Young, Gulden, Tom Green, J Kelly, McLuggage

Review The good, the bad, the shat - vs Fremantle R3 2024

I don't even recognise this team which is playing every week at the moment. We let players run riot and don't seem to do anything about it. Coming out of the backline is a fumbly, panicked disaster, hacking the ball out with no direction. The ball strolls at a leisurely pace out of our forward...

    Review Good/Bad vs Geelong

Good: Butts and Worrell are holding up well, anything but top quality entries were thwarted quite well. Burgess is ok. We play our best footy with a bit of chaos, taking risks and shooting from the hip. We look so much better when Soligo and Pedlar get around the footy. Bad: How many times...

Review Good/Bad vs Gold Coast, Round 1 2024

Good: Matt Crouch? I dont know, Racheles goal from 50, good stuff. I dont care about fightbacks when they spend 3 quarters playing the most inept football when everyone knows how good we play with dare and stop kicking long down the line close to the boundary in the *ing wet protecting the stupid...

Preview Gold Coast Suns v Adelaide Crows, Saturday 16th of March, People First Stadium, Gold Coast, 7.40pm Adelaide time.

Richmonds pressure and midfield took a big step forward and GC turned to water in that 3rd quarter. We have much better pressure and scoring power than the Tigers so we should put on a much better performance. Gold Coast have played us well since 2020, even at AO they haven't been pushovers...

    2024 Ladder Predictions

The rebadged VFL would be fuming at this top 8, only VIC game is St Kilda vs Freo in Week 1. GWS vs Port and Brisbane vs Freo semi finals on the cards, can't have 2 finals at 4.10/4.40 on a Sunday :D

Preview 2024 Pre season trial game 2 - Vs West Coast - Hisense Sat Mar 2 @2:40

I only saw the 2nd half in full but from what I saw: Soligo, Worrell and Berry have all improved. McHenry just isn't great, he is the most un-natural footballer sometimes like a reverse Darren Jarman. Berry is the new Sloane Racheles goalkicking is still bad Rankine is a gift Why is Fogarty...

Prediction 2024 Expectations Thread (with poll!!!)

The first 6 weeks are crucial for us, all against clubs either around or above us last year. I would expect us to be 3-3 at the very least. I think having that extra home game against Melbourne for GR should get us to hopefully a 13-14 win season. 10/13 home games need (1 is GR, 1 is Port...

Preview Trial game - Crows V Port - 5pm Friday 23 Feb at Alberton Oval

I sincerely hope we treat this as a non important fitness test in semi match conditions. Round 1 is what matters, just get through it, try some things, work on structures and go half pace.

Game Day Crows vs Crows trial match in Port Lincoln

Does this count as an away win or an away loss?

The '' Back to Back '' Crows of 1997/98

Malcolm blight denies it but winning the first final in Melbourne put Adelaide on the North Melbourne (easily the best side in 98) prelim track. Losing to Melbourne had Adelaide on possibly scarred, perhaps stage frightened Western Bulldogs track (assuming they beat West Coast at the MCG)...

The "It's not fair that we have to play Geelong in Geelong" thread.

Geelong games are just full of old people knitting scarves so they can drape them across 8 seats at once when the gates open at 10.30am, hogs.

Welcome Welcome to Adelaide: Daniel Curtin - Pick 8

At least if he is a gun and about to win a Brownlow we might get pick 13 for him like P. Dangerfield.

Welcome Welcome to Adelaide: Daniel Curtin - Pick 8

Looking at the draft order where West Coast had 1, then 30 and Freo had 4/5ths until mid 30's he definitely knew he would be leaving the state, probably to NSW. VB, Scott Stevens, Tyson Stenglein, Betts, Charlie Cameron and Macadam were all WA based, so we're a 33/67 shot at keeping him :D

Rumour 2023 Rumours and Speculation (Rumours total 33!, 1 BIG FISH ALERT last October 4th) (7 confirmed! 11 Busted!)

Agreed, 2 first round draft picks ruins our future for a very good player. I think a slow burn, getting more talented players in and building long term is the best strategy for our club. Our maximum offer should be this years first rounder, Shane McAdam and possibly a pick swap for next year...

Analysis 2023 Grand Final wrap: Liked, Learnt, and Hated?

Liked: From a neutral point of view the umpiring was fine, some horrible nonsense which went both ways. Overall largely unobtrusive. Learnt: Collingwoods 6 finals margins over the last 2 years are 4, 1, 7, 1, 20 and 6 points, with a 4-2 record. Belief personified Hated: Whinging about the...

Roast 25 Years without an AFL Premiership

2005 was the worst, we were the best team in the back half of the season with 10 wins in a row. BUT the AFL being the AFL we have to travel to Perth continually on the last round of the season and did so this year. We beat West Coast away in the final round to cement us not facing our bunny...

    Memberships Membership 2024

Yeah, I have only had to call once during the season and it was fine. They just never call me, surely some campaign staff to call old members or try to get partners/children added on would increase numbers? Ie. if they called me and said "do you want to sign your kids and wife up?".

    Memberships Membership 2024

I have noticed our 2024 Membership options look a lot better/more flexible than they used to. Our numbers belie our standing as a club, we should be around the 85-90k mark, not mid-high 60's. How does a team like Geelong get 82k? West Coast 103k? A quick scan of other clubs shows we all are...

Who will be better in 2024? Crows or Port?

It's probably going to come down to a bit of luck. The gap has closed significantly this year despite Ports major move up the ladder Port's glaring weakness is Ruck and defence, the defence can be bolstered with Ratugolea and Zerk-Thatcher. The Ruck is going to be hard, they need to find a...

Player Watch Matt Crouch - Re-Signed to End of 2025

I think we all can acknowledge Matt Crouch's improvement in his game. That kick to Rachele through them middle in the Gold Coast game when everyone looked cooked was top shelf. Deserves 2 years and more based on his form. Perhaps Nicks can coach and read players, maybe Sloane is actually good...
