Mobbs: Retired, not cos I hate you, but cos you never saw fit to include the club bbq on the BJO plans
MP: Was a pleasure having a beer with you, but truth be told I wasn't working there - just robbing the joint.
I was looking forward to presenting the FL Stein to the winner of this game, but...
Was down in SA last week and thought I'd visit me old Swampy team mates. Had the car loaded with 18 gal kegs and headed down Port Rd. Commonsense prevailed and I pulled into Oval Ave and drank the lot myself whilst sitting in the Barry Jarman stand overlooking beautiful Pecker Park. A much nicer...
I must admit to being chuffed when I heard about this honour. That the two greatest clubs ever to grace the SFA would honour me in any way brought me to tears. That is until I realised that it was actually Fatty Lumpkin's Stein, not the Fatty Lumpkin Stein. Some bastard broke into me place and...
Hey, I've retired. A carefully planned exit to ensure I played my last game at Brunny St Junction Oval, rather than ever have to set foot anywhere near The Projects of Dragon Island again. The locals are totally devoid of any form of wit (unless the "f" word precedes it), are unable to engage in...
Ta MP. Plan on doing a farewell tour of SFA clubs licensed premises. Planning on starting with the Swampies & raising many a glass with my old team mates in honour of Toots.
Nope, bowing out by playing at Brunswick Junction Oval. Plan on eating all the BBQ leftovers, then wander over to one of those NTTAWWTy latte joints that found their way into the new BJ Oval design - just to see what the fuss is about. Wander over to the Members for a beer and a few pies, then off...
Last game for the Lumpkin tonight. After much soul-searching, I've decided the old bones could not take the punishment of climbing into the team bus anymore. That and opponent banter hasn't quite the same zing as the past 29 seasons.
So this my swansong. Ahh, bugger the swan, it'll probably be...

Leg injury aside - Cards 2nd half was very, very good. Be interesting to see if this was their "win one for the gipper" game. A downer against Wichita wouldn't really reflect their season.
Interesting game basketball. Kelly's first game back from injury with Duke - he was unstoppable. Tonight...
I'll be sledging you - but with such sarcasm, you'll think I am praising your every move. Then again, I'll probably just fall back to my stock, standard game plan & resort to rule breaking and Hanson Triplet-esque violence. Just remember what happens out there, stays out there:D
Ahhh, Bostrich Burger - my fellow Pecker Head. I look forward to a long conversation of those past champs who donned the green and gold in battle against foes from all over Adelaide. Champs like Laurie Richards, Bob Beecroft, Jimmy Brenton, Brian Winstanley, and of course - the greatest of them...
I always get confused between her and Fred - although she is a left footer and a more accurate kick for goal - oh, and the tattoo on her right buttock is a dead giveaway
Does the Swedish theme mean we get naked in the sauna again?
Anyway, I'm heading north barra fishing for a few days - so the BBQ special this week will either be barra or bait - depends how they're biting
