Should be a standing rule. Never pass to Dalot in the box. Never puts the ball on target.
But hell yes! Champions League Football confirmed! Should make it easier to sign some world class players in the summer transfer window.
It's so annoying as my laptop has a habit of desyncing audio. I went to the toilet and came back and saw Amad's pass on the screen but the commentators were saying 'Szoboszlai takes it on himself. Oh, wonderful goal.' Ruined it...
Liked:
Winning.
Jonty Faull stepping up and having a great game.
Learnt:
Noah Balta could be a very dangerous Ruck/Fwd.
Hated:
Another injury to Prestia, which could see him pull the pin...
Are you being deliberately obtuse?
Defenders were more likely to stay on Cripps and Ryan as they were dangerous and pretty good 1 on 1.
Jonty was getting double and triple teamed because he was the #1 target and there wasn't much else to defend...
Probably outperformed? The ratings you quoted themselves show that there is no probably. It is definitive that Richmond's youngsters outperformed the Eagles.
Cripps and Ryan are or were VERY dangerous one on one players, and commanded respect and a quality defender.
You argue that Shanahan outperformed Jonty as a #1 forward.
I am pointing out that the respective forward lines they were asked to carry were vastly different in regards ro experience...
Lets look at your lineup from Round 24 last year for example. You had:
Liam Ryan (125 games, 158 goals.)
Jamie Cripps (272 games, 335 goals)
Bailey Williams (88 games, 30 goals.)
Noah Long (36 games, 12 goals)
Hamish Davis (8 games, 1 goal).
You surrounded Shanahan with an extra 529 games and...
Look at the total games experience in that period too. Will tell a massive story. When Jonty was asked to take over, he had played 17 games and was STILL our most experienced key forward at AFL level...
Yep. And it frustrates the hell out of me. The body of work Jonty has had to do as a second year key forward who still hasn't done a full pre-season is ridiculous. In the space of a month, he was asked to play on Buckley, Comben, Aliir and Alex Pearce. A lot of established and quality forwards...
