2nd week is hurt a bit by it. And Saudi Arabia to Australia is a long freaking way
Rumours are that 2027 is now being looked at for a first week Saudi event. All I know is I won't be watching.
People dislike him because he's an egoistical moron, has nothing to do with being Aussie.
My first Masters memory is getting upset as a 6 year old watching him lose that '96 Masters. That'll stick with me at least.
Well, if I take anything from golf, splitting of the big stars across multiple tours will damage the sport outside the majors but make the majors even more important. As long as the solution has everyone playing on the same tour, that's the best result.
But the pre-AO swing looks f*****. And AO...
Well, probably because of this.
Saudi Arabia launch tennis takeover with $2bn take-it-or-leave-it offer
That option won't be good for tennis in Australia.
They didn't even fix it and then comes out and finish it off. Anyway.
Just had a thought being living here in Melbourne, usually we have our biggest heatwaves during Australian Open, not during Indian Wells...
In principle I would agree but everything is about being right for the French. If there is a 0.0001% chance that he can do damage to that chance by playing IW then yeah I can't blame him. So probably should of entered anyways.
Yeah, maybe the fluffed up balls helping Kokkinakis as he looked pretty solid this morning. He has Sinner next and O'Connell has Zverev so....
Daria in absolute battle this morning, 5-5 in the 3rd with Pera.
Popryin pulled out with an injury.
Nice win for Andy Murray over Goffin in the battle...
Hmmm, don't see Max winning that over Gael. Kokk seems to be in worse form than usual. O'Connell has a tough one against Draper. And Vukic has been average too.
Good to see Thompson getting a decent draw given he was so close to a seed.
Too good. The guy is just a machine. Now time to win some matches in the clay season (I'm including IW and Miami as clay season given they are so freaking slow)
It certainly shouldn’t have been given a default if go by all previous examples. Look at Serena, she threaten to kill a line judge and she only got a point penalty (it just happened to be match point). Nick would have been defaulted at least 15 times if the rules were applied like that.
Rublev...
I’m with you on Acupulco being my favourite 500 event. Might even be my favourite event outside the slams. Great timezone and great crowds is a winner for me.
Hahaha
The guy is just such a hard worker. He looks even fitter than he already was and has been really fit his whole career. I think he has improved that forehand as well which used to be one of the worst shots in tennis
