Agree Sparrow & or Lever should be on the chopping block but no way it happens. I'm trying to think of a single time Goodwin has made a statement at selection and dropped a name outside ageing players Hibbo, Jones, Lewis, Bernie etc.
Great:
- Red Sherrin, Full strength Carlton Draught.
Good:
Billings
May
Gawn
Hore
-Tmac & Bbrown proved me wrong.
Bad:
- Geez we * up alot of easy 3-4m handballs under minimal pressure.
To go all Damo, IF this group stays fit and IF we get the Petty from last year back THEN MAYBEEEEE...
it's insane that an AFL club has Tmac, BBrown & Schache an the same list let alone pushing for selection. Names that wouldn't be out of place in the Baccus Marsh reserves.
Yeah initially I was excited when I heard we were open to trading Oliver. I thought maybe the penny had dropped that this bullshit contested style wasn't going to work and we'd over invested so selling our biggest asset could allow us a more balanced list. But nah turns out he was just cooked.
honestly we probably do.
-Max and May will be gone soon
Brayshaw gone
Petty likely gone this year or next
Langdon cooked
Tomlinson just a stop gap.
JVR, Kozzy, Rivers & Windsor are the only young players on the list who have shown they could reach AA level.
this is about where I'm at as well. Downgraded my reserved seat membership to a GA one (I'm still an AFL member) but I just cant stomach supporting the current regime. Goodwin, Pert, Roffey all s**t me up the wall, even Gawn Ive had enough of.
I notice its Melbourne membership day on SEN and we...
Kind of just think beating Carlton would have papered over the cracks. However based on a very small sample size it doesnt look like much has changed this year.
14-18 for sure, was great watching the team develop each week, every win felt like a finals win in Roos' first couple years. Neeld years, 2019/2020 and this year the least invested I've felt.
