So, if I understand the the Father/Son picks and bids for Darcy and Daicos, our later picks (42 and 47) should come in at around 39 and 40?
Assuming these earlier picks disappear in bids?
Collingwood: 36, 38, 40, 46
Bulldogs: [keep23], 43, 44, 45...
Even though it was a crazy year for everyone I can't help but feel the club let Rhyce down with what he was up against.
We're the poorer for his departure, and we should better than that as a club.
One of the most frustrating players to have on the North list in recent memory. Over his career to date seemed like a plane trying to take off. Showed glimpses of a game winning ability and being able to kick against the flow. I thought he had talent and always feared we would end up losing him...
Well, there you have it. https://7news.com.au/sport/afl/five-afl-clubs-linked-to-outgoing-kangaroos-forward-ben-brown-c-1375861
I hate to say it but Barrett's speculation was right.
Interest apparently from St Kilda in Higgins ("as well as Brown")?. What would come back the other way for two players?
Picks? Looking at St's currently available would a package deal of 14 and 58 be for the pair be fair both ways?
Or would the Saints want to hold into their only 1st rounder...
Assuming that he does want to stay in Victoria and that North would perhaps continue to pay some of his salary...
Would a fair deal be a straight swap for Geelong's pick (currently 33, see below). Some people mentioned Geelong, he'd become a Polecat!
Or if that is considered too cheap at the...
Hi Croucher and Daics. I've been in touch with Essendon FC and with the local history department at the municipal library for Essendon but without success. They have been helpful but unfortunately no joy with 1914 and 15 team photos. They must be out there somewhere! There is one more lead and...
Could Wood be worth Sydney using in the trade to Essendon for Daniher? Some comments on this thread say Essendon has (or had some interest in MW). SEN commentators staying Essendon would want an AFL ready player in the deal and a pick. Give them a forward option at least...
So Wood to Sydney...
Hi Daics. It seems we did have all these images although not necessarily the context in which they appeared which is interesting so thanks again! Cheers DVC
Thanks heaps Daics. The 1926 one looks new to me (I need to to confer with my bro), so much appreciated! The South Melbourne one is the one we got from Jim Main's ' in the Blood' Club History. The generosity of spirit on this board is really great. I'll keep you posted. :)
Gee - thanks Croucher! You know your stuff. We certainly do have a lot of stuff that my brother and I have found through Trove including transcribing all games in which he is mentioned in his 1913 year at the Bloods and the 2 at the Dons. We have a ‘13 photo which appears in a South history book...
Hi there Bombers history buffs.
I'm looking to source and make a copy of 1914 and or 1915 Essendon team photo if one exists. My grandfather played for the Dons in those 2 years. I've done some pretty extensive searching via all the history links, libraries and collections suggested on Bigfooty...
