If you compare Aussie Rules with Rugby League in Brisbane, you will find Rugby League is a lot more popular. To suggest otherwise shows how completely nieve (not sure how to spell it) you are about sport in the great South East.
I think Gallop is a great CEO, everyone agreed at the time that the TV deal was a good one, then the AFL gets a better one and all of the sudden it's a bad deal.
I hope he sticks around for a long time, the game will get better under his leadership.
Dragons
Knights
Bulldogs
Manly
Storm
Broncos
Roosters
Not sure about crowds, I've always been bad at it, but I will say that the Broncos game could get 50,000
Next year he could pose a problem for league, because 9 still have the rights, but how can he possibly over promote AFL if they are losing the rights, that would be giving a free kick to the opposition.
Being the new boy at the job he will want to be successful, and to do that you have to win...
Smith - Average???
You have to be joking.
I think the Storm have the potential to go really well next year, they have a great coach who will bring the best out of the new blokes, and they have enough good 'old' fellas to keep the team going if times get tough. I think they are definate...
I'm usually good until just after the new year, then they start talking trial games, which they usually have at suburban grounds here in Brisbane.
When you see those games advertised in the paper, I start to get a bit toey.
He obviously thought it would be much easier to get into the Swans team rather than the West tigers.
If he doesn't get what he wants early, I wonder if he'll switch back.
To tell you the truth, I think Garry Jack will be really dissapointed.
I'm of the same opinion as Gordan Tallis...
I better not quote scores that went against the temporary #1 (I repeat temporary) side, as the moderators will be up me for using up too much space.
When did the All Blacks last win a World Cup.
Eleven testing minutes into the 1982 Winfield Rugby League Grand Final, Wynnum-Manly cut loose with a 50-metre try which set the Seagulls swooping after their first Premiership win in their 31 year history.
After sustained pressure on the Souths line, Magpie five-eighth, Bruce Harry, angled a...
How could you forget Walshie, a very underrated player.
I was there for Wynnums first ever Grand Final when they flogged souths, who were coached by Wayne Bennett, and Wynnum were coached by Des Morris who in my opinion was a better coach than Bennett, and given more oppertunities probably...
Mal Green did hang himself, very sad to hear that.
Brett and Ian French, both went to North Sydney Bears, and I think Brett finished his career at the Gold Coast. There was also Terry Butler and the famous Colin Scott. The years that Dowling, Lewis, Miles, Scott and Lindner were there...
Don't forget Mark Zillman, an underrated prop at the time, Do you remember Shaun Johnson, he played in the second row.......mmmmmmm, starting to remember a few names now, deadset golden years for Wynnum-Manly.
Well I'll be buggered, I used to play for the Seagulls, a great club, I still follow them, but mainly follow the Broncos now, and as you know it's their God given right to be successful.
A real shame about Valleys, I knew of a bloke who was on the board and tried to get the money together to...
I'm going for an upset here, Kiwis by not much, I just think they will really put in for this one, and if they get an early lead I think they'll hold it, they seem to like the weather over there and it doesn't seem to suck their stamina like the weather over here.
I'd like to know what happened to ms storm she was always passionate about the Storm, but as you say she was always ridiculed by a few of the idiots in this forum.
There are only 4 football codes in Australia to follow, of those 4 there are only 2 that are similarly named. What amazes me about the self named sporting capital of Australia, Victoria, is that they can't tell the difference between them.
I am not an AFL fan, not by any means, but I do keep...
That Swans grand final was BBBBoooorrrrriiinnngggg.
Who knows what will happen next year with them, but if they keep playing the way they do, (which I think they will since their premiers) they can kiss any newcommers to the game goodbye.
