Martin is an exceptional player and will only improve. He's built of the right stuff.
Cuningham was exceptional in midfield bursts also....as is Fisher and as should Dow and SPS be.....but what's the point here?
It took you long because you may have been looking for evidence to support your claim.....but couldn't find it.
You can't find it because you're just imagining s**t and then you want to highlight others having mental issues. Poor form buddy.
Where have I ever said that?
Why would you make up lies to seemingly bolster your own point of view. Full strawman......again.
Where have I said that Fogarty is a certain starter? Where have I pigeon-holed a player as only capable of playing one position.?
You can play any player anywhere, but...
It has to, doesn't it?
Let Cripps be Cripps, because he can't be something else, but let's put more weight on Setterfield's shoulders. I think he's up to the challenge.
Walsh and ECurnow are who they are and that's perfectly fine.
Williams still has to show us how effective he'll be playing...
Pretty ineffective from what I saw.
Took that one game off Murphy early in the season after Murphy floundered and rarely used thereafter, along with Gibbons, Cuningham.
Had a total of 7 centre square clearances for the year.....Simpson had 4, Gibbons 3 and even Docherty had 1.
Same thing will...
Martin, Williams, Saad .....and Papley.
I know we got Kemp and Philp instead of Papley in the end and that made for a great outcome, but Papley would have made us so much stronger.
I don't care as much for adding volumes of talent, as much as adding the right talent and Papley would have been a...
Myth. At no time this year has Martin looked dangerous starting in the midfield.
He's a quality player that can be seen to make good anywhere at times, but his best is playing forward where he spooks the opposition and manufactures plenty from little opportunity.
Martin had that in-game calf issue and missed a few weeks, thereafter.
Martin is a scary proposition for opponents and that's what we need in our forward line.
Shame CCurnow isn't up and running because pairing him with McKay, along wth having impactful smalls, makes us very dangerous...
With the concentration going into better forward 50 entries and with an 'odd' year behind us, can't but see Martin improving his general output.
Had Essendon been smart, we could have so easily recruited 4 'almost perfect' types in 2 years.
That can't go on as that TPP thing will get in the...
The club hasn't specifically asked these players to train with us, for just a little fun.
Each player now has the opportunity to make good and show us something we didn't expect.
People may se things differently, but for me McDonald won't have to be 'amazing' to be taken on.
Moore may be second...
It's unfortunate we can't get in to view training at the moment, as real opinions are formed from what you see there.
This is just for a little 'fun' Maybe that will change in the New Year, as things relax a little more.
Hedging bets? Lay down misère? No one said that. It's just in your...
Another week another run through - :)
Docherty Jones Plowman
Saad Weitering SPS.................Changed my mind on SPS, as can see the fit better now with Saad in the backline and Walsh, Williamson and Walsh falling back.
De Koning Cripps Williams
Walsh Setterfield Williamson......I like this...
If we asked Moore to train with us another year, with the view in trialing out as an inside mid.......would tell me we have real concerns about our midfield.
It's possible but if he's not been given the chance to impress as a back-man, I'd be more than just a little surprised.
No point seeing...
Why would anyone be very concerned for someone deemed to be the last player needed on the list?
It all points to McDonald right now, but if Moore shows plenty if trialed in the back-line......why not?
He's 193cm+. Is strong. Runs the 20mts @ 2.91 seconds. Has a very good vertical leap.
Can...
We can't afford an 18 y.o. KPD as back-up for the senior squad right now.
We had BSilvagni and had Macreadie and had/chose to let them go because they wouldn't have cut it, if called up.
We're not trying to find the best KPD out there right now....we're just tying to get the best available that...
You just have to have depth players and cheap players that can fill-in, if required.
I feel that I can now say this with some confidence after so many years; You need to have a competitive, yet nurturing second squad for proper development.
This was very much the case when we had The Northern...
It was too heavy (tall) but now we've gone to the other extreme, as we now have only two genuine KPD's (Jones & Weitering)
For me a least, the ideal balance is to have two squads with all the required types involved but as things stand, our VFL squad will not have a genuine KPD involved unless...
So now we know how Stack got caught - A fight in Perth.
Apparently also had one strike against his name in W.A.......just won't listen. Hard to see Richmond hanging onto him.
You do also have Tom McDonald available to step back if required.
It just feels as though it will be McDonald who will get he final list spot, unless Moore steps up considerably.
He'd have to as we know what he has to offer forward, so it's back or bust.
One still has to be accountable for oneself and responsible to the community.
Stack was apparently allowed into W.A. only on compassionate grounds and he abused that privilege.....yes, privilege....given the laws in place.
i.e. He knew what he was doing. Took the chance and has now endangered...
Well.......not bad for Tom.
This was also a great track and maybe somewhat more confronting for some, but I enjoy responses to things that some deem as.....you know....
It is not making excuses for Stack at all. How do you read this into things?
It's simply stating the measure...on face value...seems excessive, be it for Stack, Cripps, Docherty...anyone....even you. :)
What excuse have I made for Stack?
I'm simply surprised that a first strike in W.A. brings about jail time (how long?) and being denied bail.
You don't think that if this is he only reason he's been treated accordingly that possible issues may yet arise?
It just seems odd on its own.
Maybe the WA government have some extremely tough measures in place, but even so; Straight to jail and no bail?
Richmond though will not be impressed. Can't see any coming back from this for him, unfortunately.
Jailed for a quarantine breach.....even if it was his second time around?
It was in two different states though.
It could get messy. Seems somewhat harsh to me....and I know, it's not good but jail?
Good pick-up. Sure seems that way, doesn't it? :)
I may have missed the change previously but interesting to note individuals role titles.; Agresta is no longer 'List Manager' in any written form but he's the 'Player Acquisition and TPP Manager and Austin is the simple, 'Head of List...
