3 of coins is a consumable that gives you a chance of a exotic engram from an ultra kill. Basically people have been doing a mission like Eye of the Gate Lord where you spawn in at the boss, using the 3 of coins, killing the boss and then going back to orbit/dying. Repeat that about 100 times...
