He was speaking about breaking a vertebrae in his back last year against Richmond and it needs ongoing pain management... not great news for him and his family.
Haha yeah here's a little reminder of our Round 10 team last year:
FB: Harry Edwards, Rhett Bazzo, Liam Duggan
HB: Alex Witherden, Josh Rotham, Jayden Hunt
CE: Brady Hough, Dom Sheed, Jamaine Jones
HF: Noah Long, Jake Waterman, Xavier O'Neill
FF: Jack Petruccelle, Oscar Allen, Callum Jamieson...
With such a young list next year, Yeo and Ryan will be needed as de facto coaches.
Who are the young guys going to learn from if we have gutted the place of people who have actually achieved it before?
A handful of assistant coaches isn't going to cut it.
haha people do not chill out here, Big footy, big melts
But you're right, Ryan's is the only long term injury and he still may be back in April. Plus he's a mature small forward so not having a massive preseason is hardly the end of the world.
Happy to see Harley and Chesser have hit it off. Two country fellas who'll hopefully stick around here long term.
And here's hoping some of Chess's running/preparation rubs off of Harley and some of Harley's confidence/aggression rubs off on Chess...
Tanking was (and still is, to a degree) a major problem in the NBA and it's the major reason for the lottery.
We dont have much of a tanking problem here, so a draft lottery would only be so the VFL can add another clown to the circus...
Yeah I could see how match ups against some of the really electric modern small forwards could hurt him badly, but i'd still like to see it tried at some point this year or next and see how he goes.
It's been discussed before that lots of good KPD's are former forwards, but it's also true that lots of good back pockets are former midfielders. I feel Luke Edwards might make a space for himself back there. Take over from Tom Cole. Ledwards is smart and seems to find good space and time.

Most on here say Yeo is a backman now, but I'm not so sure that'll happen.
Yeo and Kelly with one 1st/2nd year player in the centre square looks much more encouraging, and id guess the coaches would want that protection for the newbies.
LittleFires has mentioned he still trains with the mids...
At risk of adding to the "but what about xxxx!"
Young Hough could be about to step right up this year.
It's a common trait with good players to show a bit early on, and then in the 3rd year if you are crossing the 50 games played threshold really go up a level. Houghy's in that zone.
Agreed, when Sydney are playing finals every year off the back of Mills, Heeney, Gulden, Blakey, Campbell and GWS with Green, Himmelberg, Cumming, Perryman (and trading away Hopper, Steele, Kennedy etc. for good picks) the attention should be on them, not the basket case that is the Suns
J. Williams, Barnett, H. Edwards, Jamieson, A. Reid, Livingstone... The Beagles side has sooo many talls over 198, it's hard to see it actually functioning as a team if they're all fit... we don't have a Beagles 2's do we?
With OA dominant and a decent amount of young KPF options, I'm hoping Darling could move to a wing and have a late career spike à la Matty Richardson 2008. JD's always taken his best marks on the wing already.
I'm with this guy, 2024 is the new 2011! Spoon to Prelim baby!! ;)
I don't want to overdo the Hopium, but there are a lot of similarities between 2011/2024 actually:
about 5 years post flag
core of prem/AA players still around,
Finished spoon, second bottom, and just out of finals in the...
