In, some strong names/teams in there.
The trick to winning this BF SC again is that nobody stops playing even when not going that well. The last place team is probably more important than the best team.
No ghost ships
They have a comp in The Super Coach thread. Carlton BigFooty has won 2 out of 4 years. Need to get at least one league started. But yes understand it takes some time to organise and sorry I can’t as run my own business and time poor.
Sure it has been answered before, but is Gresham a free agent or would we need to trade for him?
Was very good once. And as a free agent with minimal cash worth a look, trading not so sure
Don’t know but if they were as shite as we are, we are a chance then.
But in all seriousness I believe stick with Voss as the players are still giving good effort and is a great leader, just need some very good tactical assistant coaches to help with game plan and the inside 50 connect.
Why would Choco or any other good assistant coach come to Carlton, it’s the place that coaches come to die.
But agree Voss has some strengths just needs some help with his weaknesses.
Looks like I’m defending Cripps here, guess I am.
Cripps yes only one centre clearance this week, the Bont none, it happens.
Cripps is 13th in centre clearance this year, down on previous years, but much higher than the next best Carlton player and 3rd at clearance from a stoppage. 1st in...
On a positive note, as pretty glum in here.
Expecting Harry to have a great start to the year now, without having to worry about the logistics of having to play two games a week.
Sorry for the late response. I joined a few weeks ago when I got the email from BigFooty Blues 1, didn’t see this thread.
Team - Blue Bloods pretty poor last year, my worst year but normally good.
Can leave the league if asked.
Agree, Voss likes specialised roles and wing is not a place to dump a pure midfielder. Maybe Cerra, but think Cerra and Doc (if he plays midfielder)will be inside and outside pure in the square midfielder. Not gut running up and down the wing.
Arces and O,Brien clearly the best specialist wings...
Glad we could help, you guys need it.
Nice to see you here on our board, while you are here please don’t forget to have a read of The Essendon * 6500 and beyond thread.
Sure you will enjoy.
Agree very good deal for Setterfield and *. Setterfield will have a good career now, maybe not a star but over 100 games.
But Carlton had the right to get fair value in a trade, future 3rd would have been fair value.
Samo had very little to offer WCE.
Setterfield will play most games next year in his preferred role as an inside midfielder for *. He is exactly what they need just as we traded for Acres the player we needed to fill a role we are lacking.
We traded fairly for Acres, Essendon got Setterfield...
Tbh, Setterfield to Bombers is exactly what they need an inside midfielder. Just like Arces was exactly what we needed.
But would hate to give The * exactly what they need for a third rounder, just say no, Essendon has done us no favours ever.
Yep Dow has some speed and think he deserves another year, mainly because we won’t get much anyway in a trade.
Problem with Dow’s speed is it is never used to chase down and tackle others, is there any vision of that?
Mitch Robinson was playing good football for us, but got in a fight and lied to the club. Was a hard call for the club but imo a correct call for a young team starting to focus on culture.
