Hi,
Got a questions that myself and this other Demons nut couldn't work out.
Now before the 1964 final we were called the Red Legs? Is this correct have I got the final correct?
So when were we called the Fuchsias? LIkewise the Red Legs?
I went to the official site and couldn't find...
Melbounre offered Powell a two year contract, Saint Kilda offered him three. Melbourne offered Powell same amount of money it wasn't about the money for Powell just the terms of his contract. It would be irresponsible for us to offer him longer.
Quite simply Powell walked....
I dunno, seems like a standard clause in any contract I guess.
BTW there's a reply comment from John Anderson over on the Demonland borads www.demonland.com
He has some great things to say, surely will be missed.
Sh*t I wanna remain optimistic. BUT read this, eek!
Blues chase Yze
By MARK ROBINSON and MARK STEVENS
23oct02
CARLTON will today launch a million-dollar ambush for out-of-contract Melbourne midfielder Adem Yze.
Yze returns from Ireland today and will meet Melbourne and Carlton...
Very poor form by Scott, and desreved a rest.
BUT it looked like the Irish fella punched him in the throat before hand? or grabbed his throat - & then wouldn't let go of him ...
You're an idiot if you could've gotten excited about last night, and both games.
Amazing stat that 71 000 was the biggest 'foootball' attendance ever in Ireland, even surpassing an international football/soccer event.
I have to say I wasn't that impressed... He took easy kicks, hanging at the back of the packs to get his three, and when he coughed it up, he was horribly slow in chasing...
this may all seem a bit harsh, but c'mon we gotta kick carlton when they're down ...
the perfect play was...
I think Kouta will have a huge influence on this game, at least 20+ possessions, and 3 or 4 goals!
**** This just means that the Blues will only kick six all up.... arf!
Not too sure if this was mentioned, but not to worried about Kouta. WHat I wanted to mention is that it's at Colonial and we romp at Colonial ...
But we haven't had to much bad luck at Optus this year miond you, but yeah kinda glad we're playing at the Docks....

Unfortunately it doesn't have room to comment on Melbourne's shocking fixture for 2002. Or what we'd like in 2003...
I was really worried about this game being sold out, don;t ask me why, but with the Dons it's always a possibility.
Got my ticket yesterday in Ballarat. I've got a Concession 18 Home & Away Membership, but they gave me a seat Level One, right behind the bench .. so thought OK I'll pay for it...
I was never against him from the start. He won fair and square and am pleased and relieved that so far, he's done a good job.
Been impressed actually with media coments by Corcoran and Anderson this year as well .. finally no easy beats...
I was looking at the Membership numbers, and started tot hink about are President.
What is everyones opinion on how he's faired so far?
Personally I thought he was a bit sluggish out of the blocks, but anyone who stands up to Carlton like that .. can't be at all bad.
Bottom Line, I'm...
Melbourne football manager Danny Corcoran said Farmer, and another former Demon, Troy Simmonds, had both been back to the Junction Oval since their departure.
"When Fremantle was in town recently, Jeff wandered across from the Carlton Crest to say 'G'day' to everyone," Corcoran said...
Struth! - I take it that's meant to say 2 to 3 weeks.... Nearly fell of my chair....
MELBOURNE
Anthony McDonald (bruised foot) test
Peter Walsh (bruised hip) test

"MCG seating area is in the M12-13, Great Southern Stand"
hmmm Mine doesn't have this on it at all, just says Red Seat Area, subject to availiability.
Would seem kinda stupid if I'm sitting in the Red Seats and I bring a guest who has to sit in the Great Southern Stand.
Maybe we got a...
Just wondering who recieved there's in the mail. Great idea I reckon, to give out a complimentary guest pass. Been trying to get them for the last few years and the club has always told me one thing, then turn up on the day, and go to where they say I can get one, and the club represnetatives...
I actually DID read this thread thinking you had some hot information about Rigoni ... even though I read all this in the morning at Real Footy.... DUH!
Brownlow Medal winner a victim of his own courage
By Robert Walls
Super courage was often shown on Monday at the MCG by the Demons' Shane Woewodin. His act of bravery put him out of the game midway through the second quarter. Woewodin was caught in the most awful of situations. It is the...
I'm actually thinking we'll get up, and it'll be a tight game ... something about Easter Monday games ... and it'd so be the perfect end to my weeekend ...
OK ... couldn't get to Family Day, but is this wishful thinking .... I think we have been written off ... but will have to see how we play against the Hawks ... before I start even thinking we're a chance for Sept action, but I so wish we are ...
Melbourne coach Neale Daniher expects the...
