Traded Jack Billings [Traded to Melbourne for F3 (Melb)]

Absolute spud! Gave nothing and the saints paying for him still. Shows where he's at.

Trade Period 2023 - winners and losers

How so? And not sure how Dee's fans think Petty I the next Buddy. Your club was the one offering him Buddy level money. We just help a required player to his contract.

Agreed he'll be gone by our puck, and likely long before the dog even have the option, but given there derth of talls, it wouldn't shock me if they didn't prioritise him.

I just read that as well. Highly rated in his draft year, can't say i've seen him since. But mustn't be great given Sydney seem light on for KPD depth.

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

No it's not. Had the Saints traded him end of last year he stillhad currency. Now he's a proven spud. That was point. He was never any good, saints fans just had rose coloured glasses.

Whilst your post if half full of manure, the Tom Lynch part is spot on the money. It's happening, at least it's 100% being heavily discussed. It won't be P5 but likely our first. It's predicted on us moving some salaries on, but we expect that to happen. Watch this space.

I don't spend a lot of time on here, but when I do like to read about interesting and insightful thoughts. All I've ever read from you if horse s**t. Petty is an integral part of the club going forward either as a KPD or a KPF. Goodbye.

And if he was traded back then he would have been worth something, as was the suggestion. Fact of the matter is the Saints are middle of the road, treading water like always.

Looks like chompers is on the move as well this off-season, with Sydney linked as a potential suitor. Is there a world where it's a package deal of Grundy, Harmes & P24 for there P11?

    Expansion 20th AFL team location

There won't be a 20th team in the AFL until 2030 at the earliest, probably longer. If the 15%-20% growth over the next decade is as predicted in the ACT then there will be circa 600k living there. Plenty of people to support a stand alone team, and by then the AFL will be banking on GWS to have...

Certified Legendary Thread Deathriding Dogga's Dockers in 2023

Has a genuine 8 point game feel about it. I actually think North win a few this year, and the WCE get a few back and could win a few late in the year. If the Dorks bank a few like this one, Freo could be in real trouble... won't happen, but oh boy, wowie!!

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

Ummm.... As in so thin we are the regining VFL premiers? Geelong won it last year because they had a soft draw coming home and could manage player loads coming into the finals. It was the opposite in 2021 for us and the cats. The rerality is that the top 3 or 4 sides are that close its about...

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

Well safe to say the Saints are no longer in no man's land. Understand they were missing some of their forwards, but the way they got cut up through the middle and lack of 2 way running makes decent forwards irrelevant. Definitely bottom 4.

The Westin.... Who actualy gives a *, they're a bottom half of the ladder type set up. To be fair Baker is an upgrade on that long blonde haired kid who's name i've failed to commit to memory, so maybe they push up to 10th?

Fixture Who finishes last in 2023?

27 in over 150 years... That’s impressive! At an average of 5.6 to say they’re over due is a massive understatement. And here me thinking them being in no mans land over the past few years was a bad thing! Surprised I haven’t seen the Saintsational 10th place finish commemorative DVD on sale...

Analysis Your teams best 23 for 2023.

I'm glad you think so. I'm terrified!! I really don't know how the Gawn/Grundy set up is going to work, I mean Gawn can get it, but he's a terrible set shot (understandably because he's a giant). A lot of our success will rest on the development of JVR. Looked really promising in the VFL last...

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

I think the crux of what WillHayward is saying (and correct me if im wrong), is that those guys are all "good", without being great and when you stack them up against their contemporaries at teams above them or around them on the ladder then on balance they aren't as good. The fact the Membrey...

Fixture Who finishes last in 2023?

So you're agreeing with me. You're a middle of the road side, who's made a "courageous" coaching appointment and has won more wooden spoons than any other side? Notwithstanding the fact you did nothing to improve your list over the off season. Look I respect as a supporter you need optimism...

Fixture Who finishes last in 2023?

I think the Saints are a massive chance, the ingredients are all there. Bog ordinary list, a megalomaniac coach that's been out of the system for almost a decade and a culture of self loathing and failure.
