I dare say we’re committed but sending Young back makes a ton of sense if we want our best players in the 22. Otherwise, is Drapes a chance to come in and give use some height?
Just speaking for myself but I really appreciate hearing people’s “unofficial” observations from training. Even if it includes injuries or any other bad news.
Pretty on-brand for us. We give up uncontracted players easily and fight hard getting a good deal for contracted players.
Let's call it karma for the Jordan Clark deal.
Need to factor in Darcy's value to the team culture and morale as well. If you watch the training vids he's always the guy who is getting around other players, bringing positivity and having a laugh. This was epitomised when he talked about the genuine love the players had for each other after...
Henry in makes a bunch of sense for mine. JOM's role is a receiver who delivers it to the forwards. Henry would be much better suited at this compared to Ras. No doubt it means Aish plays more in the centre too. Looking forward to seeing how Sturt goes with Nev and Treacy after all their...
Honestly, it's getting to the point where there should be a more coordinated response from fans to boycott the West. As hungry as I am for footy content they are actively trying to hurt our club. Beyond not giving them so much as a click, a public boycott of their advertisers could be effective.
Great call. I always see him talked about like he's a super raw, long term prospect. But he was among the leading WAFL goalkickers when we picked him up, so I don't think he's that far off.
I want Bray / Serong co-captains for the perfect good cop / bad cop dynamic.
But certainly wouldn't be disappointed with Pearce either. Top bloke, top player and would really add to the legacy of the role aboriginal players have had at the club.
Great stuff! I can confirm the boys were doing some cross training at M1FC in the offseason last year too. Can't tell from the pic but if its the same instructor it's probably Habby Heske training them. He's an old school Judo / MMA guy who also appeared in a few movies with the likes of Jacky...
Undoubtedly a club defining moment. And if anything, the fact that it was McManus who managed that kick, the last guy you'd expect to slot a clutch set shot, is what made it so great.
My claim is more to do with his general skill level in the other 200 odd games he played.
It's funny, when I think about who I really want to go well, I'm overly influenced by who I'm most worried about not making it. I need Jackson to make it because I don't think I could handle another Freo trade fail. And Henry...he could be an absolute star. He looks like he has all the skills...
