he will have to find more of the ball and kick more goals over time else he won't make it.
That goes without saying. To be honest, there wouldn't be many (if any) forwards who have played 10 games of AFL who don't fit into that basket.
but I have seen nothing from him that suggests he is a...
We're talking about a guy that's played about 10 games. He's proven he can pressure well. Now give him time to see if he can convert on the scoreboard. I think unfortunately for Switta, he's the only one that pressures in our forward line so it compromises his ability to get into good positions...
Lots of things all year tbh. In the Bris game, two bad clangers on the northern wing / just outside defensive 50 to name a few.
Although it worked out, that was not a pretty special 1% by any stretch of the imagination. Was more like a contest where Hughes very timidly approached the loose...
That extension really peeved me off. Hughes could easily fall into that category too - I don't think he deserves to be in the team on current form. Nyhuis' two games before the Richmond game were better than any games Hughes has played this year. Logue also to come back in...
... think you've been reading too much tabloid media. This game was about 4 points for both teams. The Neale sideshow was built up by the media but was always irrelevant in real terms.
Gaff has good decision making and picks out the easy option well, so he rarely has clangers. His kick is consistent but not elite IMO. Kelly's is better. It's also his first year in the system so his kicking will continue to improve significantly as he adjusts to the speed of AFL
Whenever I check the peel stats, it seems like the non-Freo listed players score all the goals. It's a shame we don't have much fire power up forward, even in the reserves. We really need to de-list some big men and/or backs and get some players that can actually kick goals
I thought maybe he's not fast but he ran 2.91 20m sprint which is very quick - close to elite
I've got my fingers crossed we take him at 5. Has Pendlebury written all over him.
Surprised there isn't more love for coffield. Why is it he's not rated top 5? From his highlights I see him as the best or maybe second best behind Rayner.
Does he have any weaknesses?
