I was at the Carlton v Richmond game when Docherty kicked his goal and it was an amazing atmosphere. I can't wait to see Cunners come back. Other memorable human triumph games are Daw and most notably McCartney in the last 20 years. Any others? Seems to be mostly shinboners!
Ryder is a lumbering, albeit more athletic big ruckman, charging down a much slighter and nimble Day. This pressure makes Day kick the ball away so Ryder realises this and knows he can't tackle him or its an immediate free downfield for holding. As we all know from playing the game, if you can't...
Please enlighten us which kid we should have added to our 4 stunning draftees of Clarke, Wagner, Hibberd and Mountford in 2015 Draft? I for one would rather watch a gun go around for another season that force him to retire early for the sake of another youngster who may or may not show anything...
I can't believe how many people are against Thursday games! Gives me an extra day to watch it at work in London. Also, mid-week football works brilliantly in Europe... Premier League, Champions League, Europa League etc. Always sell out crowds. People should still be able to attend a game after...
When I was living in Australia, I would just go out on a Friday or Saturday night (maybe both), but wouldn't touch a drop Sunday to Thursday. Most weeks that would be, so probably drinking 6-8 days a month.
Now in London, drinking has definitely changed. Probably drink 4-5 times a week, but...
Yet players who got suspended in the final rounds of last season can play NAB cup matches, but not the first few rounds of the H & A season this year. A bit of consistency would be great.
Unless it's just terrible reporting, and he is actually out of the H & A games...
Don't bother posting in the Triple J Hottest 100 prediction thread then if you hardly bother to listen to it. One of those people that are too cool to listen to it nowadays?
Ah yes... I see... you must be, Gotye lucky to make top 20 ahead of any of the top 20 from the 90's.
1994. No 9...
What about this?
0 to infinite
The number represents how many pints you'd drink before you'd have sex with them. Just adds a bit more to the 0,1 rating system. My mates and I use that occasionally, with a few laughs and banter.
People mixing up words like "they're, thier and there" s**t me a lot, but another one which I haven't seen in this thread is ad/add.
Ad is the abbreviation for advertisement, not add. People just decide to "add" in an extra d when abbreviating it.
Sorry, that's my rant for now :)
I have Heppell in the mids, so was all set to do the following so I could have DPP link between mids/back:
1. Otten --> Hibberd
2. Toy --> Puopolo
However, assuming Wallis doesn't make the cut, I'll be left with a 0 in the midfield. Then next week I was going to do Curnow --> Jacobs...
Re: Injuries and Suspensions - 2011
That was why I didn't bring Grimes in at the start of the season, I was worried about his durability...
Then I stupidly brought him in on Friday arvo and then get Enright next week! Oh well, at least I still have 21 trades left.
Awesome news! Bit the bullet and got Wallis over Iles this week, so was nervously anticipating Wallis being sub. That said, he's only bench cover this week anyway I think.
Went Duigan to Grimes this week.
BE's were fairly similar, only cost $110k so not a bad upgrade. I was considering Enright, but figured a higher BE than Grimes I can probably get him in next week.
I guess the lack of interest in Scotland may be an effect of the byes this year... it has been slightly that way for me. Already having Gibbs in the backline, I've not really paid a lot of attention to having Scotland or Carrazzo as they have a bye in round 23 (?) which is prelim finals time so...
