I don’t buy that Beams is self interested. He went to the lions to be with his Dad and wants to come back to Collingwood for family reasons. We got a very fair trade on his way out, and he will come back only for a fair trade.

Externally I think we throw up JT as a trade option because he is from Brisbane. But internally I think the club values him far more than steak knives

I would love to get Beams back, but I wouldn’t swap Thomas for him. Thomas has earned the right to prove he is a a premiership player in his own right. Beams has always promoted Thomas, I think he’d hate to come back at the expense of Thomas.
