Didn't get to watch the game or follow the scores. I'm impressed we got within a goal. Really thought Hawks would be too strong (I mean, 9 goal wins vs Pies/Eagles, 6 goal vs Freo).
So, well done to Wells, Thompson, Thomas, Ziebs, Swallow (basically all the players named in the bests), and...
On sportsbet, hawks third quarter line of -7.5 @ $1.90 is money for jam.
Hawks should get this by 6-8 goals easy. We can't sustain 4 quarters, they are lethal in red time and I suspect that's where the game will be taken away from us. Hoping for a full Daw performance, good games from Atley...
Was it you who posted how you think teams playing the Dogs will struggle to back up the next week, because the Dogs play a bruising style of football? Was early in on the season.
Round 1: Dogs vs Lions
Round 2: Lions lose to Crows after giving up a 3/4 time lead
Round 2: Dogs vs Freo
Round...
Dockers by not much at all. Tigers have some outs, but with no Pav, Chaplin isn't essential, have some good small defenders to cover for morris, but will eventually lose it in the middle with no Tuck/Conca. Freo mids should be able to play better for longer due to depth.
Freo by 11
Just realised I inadvertently typed hale when I was thinking minson...I was going through the hawks side to see if I had missed anyone and so just typed the name in my head.
Yeah, I reckon minson played well enough first 2 rounds...

I think it is because of this that we have to give him the benefit of the doubt and no need for speculation.
Watson deserves people to believe in him for the best.
But Cotchin and Mitchell will not have fulfilled the best & fairest criteria. Merely the 2nd best but fairest.
If in some crazy world Watson loses his Brownlow, and for future cases, they shouldn't award a Brownlow to initial 2nd places.
Yes, we will.
Also I'd like to hear why you have such a problem with a broad statement like "realistic contenders". Not like I made any predictions or definite statements.
Surely while being tackled you can't be called deliberate like that.
But nomatter the umpiring Essendon would have won this I think. Fitter and stronger when it mattered.
Watson had had a couple of clear throws today.
Not that he's the only one, and not like it makes him any less of a superstar. Btu elite handballing skills doesn't mean he doesnt throw it like everyone else occasionally.
Answered with a resounding no.
Also, first full game of Essendon I've watched this year that I have not noticed Hooker, which means he is doing well. Apparently played well last week but didn't watch full game. This week, strong defending and no big clangers which is why I haven't really...
I don't have much access to BF at this time but I logged on just to like this.
Heppell is far from a complete player but he's very useful and has a massive future. Surely people can see that...
Pretty much one of the only times Essendon defence has relented. And more Hockings fault, not the back 6 (not replying specifically to you, more to others saying defence has been poor)
