    Player Watch #36 Joel Amartey

"we rarely see it, and if we do then it is only for very short spurts" - And how many young key forwards do you see performing at a high level conistently and for longer periods....

    Player Watch #36 Joel Amartey

Not quite sure why Amartey is getting shat on from a great height when i actually thought he got into some good positions on the weekend and generally took his marks - unlike McLean who's dropped some absolute sitters in the last two weeks. Frankly find the pile on pretty crap.

    Player Watch #9 Will Hayward

Really, really glad some of you are not on the selection committee. I don't think there is any doubt that Hayward is one of the first picked - strong running, great hands, accountable.

In Scott we trust:)!!! I think he is a key reason we haven't just recruited big names on long term contracts but are able to keep our good players - worth his weight...

AFLW Autopsy 2023 season 8 1st Elimination final GCS v Swans 11 Nov 7:15 pm, Heritage Bank Stadium

Got to laugh. We all watched the game on Sat night. I was just fan-girling Kennedy and Hurley - such talents - but the whole team was awesome. My daughter the next day - all she wants to do is copy Molloy's moves:)! Aside from the fun, love that Molloy turned it around a compliment to the...

AFLW Autopsy 2023 Season 8 Round 10 - Fremantle vs Swans Sunday 5th Nov 5:05pm

Love this team - what a win!! Away - but with great support. So cool to hear the swans chant through the tv!! And LOOOOVE Kennedy, Gardiner! But everybody really cracked in hard... By the way - the wheels on that Freo girl - seriously phenomenal....

    Player Watch #7 Ally Morphett - 2023 All-Australian

Part of the major bummer of having such a short season - you're one relatively minor injury away from missing most of it. Hopefully Ally takes the good from this season - fitness base, involvement and midfield drive - to really power on next year. Wishing her all the best with her recovery!!

    AFLW Autopsy 2023 Season 8 Round 07 - Swans v Hawks Saturday 14 Oct 3:05 pm @ Henson Park

Oh heck yeah!! Awesome idea - I'm buying it for the kids anyway but would totally stump up for that.. And also in total agreement about beating the Hawks - always makes my day;-) - go girls!! PS been so impressed by their intent and mid-game this season (Ally is immense) - and its great to see...

    AFLW Autopsy 2023 Season 8 Round 07 - Swans v Hawks Saturday 14 Oct 3:05 pm @ Henson Park

Excited for this game - for one reason or another haven't been able to make it to a match. I'm sure its indigenous round to match with the referendum - hope it will sway the undecided - but in any case will grab any celebration I can. Love the guernsey:) - bummer for Newman but I'm sure she...

    Opinion 2024 and Beyond

I actually agree with this. LLoyd is reliable but its noticible how much he holds up the play coming out of defence compared to Blakey, Florent and Gulden (who TBF is on another planet).

Autopsy 33 point win against Adelaide

Interesting, that being at the footy last weekend, I had the same thought about Papley as Caesar88 - just trying to do to much at times, burning teammates and ending up losing the footy. BUT all after Q1 - i hadn't realised (until i saw the replay) just how good he had been to start the game...

Coach John Longmire - Part IV

Longmire is an amazing coach and people manager. To get a young team through to an elimination final - 10 weeks on the road without families or even knowing where they were going to play. Completely changed the personnel and then the game plan to match. Had an awesome season with a few shite...

Past James Bell - delisted 2022

He's a young guy who was in his first final. Nobody will feel as bad as he does at this time. One thing i know is that our club as a whole as more understanding, supportive and caring that this whole effing board. He's hurting a hell of a lot more., has sacrificed more and understands what it...

    Player Watch #7 Harry Cunningham

Agree Ticky - I thought out of all the players he seemed to handle those awful early conditions so well. Just such a sure pair of hands and then used it intelligently. Used to be a (private - just don't like razzing players online - they see it their friends/ family see it..) Cunningham knocker...

Club Song Change: While her loyal sons to 'While Our Loyal Swans'

Hey guys, Is not about offense but about inclusion. As a woman I wouldn't think - think i'll join that men's club. judges would routinely ask for a foreman from their jury. That's what they would get - over 90% of the time. And its not because men have more authority, louder voices or some other...

Of course they do but that's NOT what you wrote. You said alot of players were over Longmire - don't project or if you do maybe acknowledge it when others pull you up about it!

Analysis 2019 List, Game Plan and Best 22?

I actually agree with RUNVS - aside from a couple of cameos of his 2017 form (Geelong) I thought Kennedy was generally dreadful. His disposal was never his strong point but last year it just seemed to head straight to the opposition with relentless monotony. It's not very helpful for your team...

No it really isn't. One has heart and passion and integrity - the other is a facile marketing exercise. And I really don't understand the constant need to take potshots at the AFLW - seriously get over it...we get it you don't rate it.

The problem is, as soon as you get involved, you find you have to pick and choose the causes you support. For what it's worth, I disagree with the senators comments (even though i'm from another country, and he's not my senator). So do most people, so taking a stand feels right. But what if a...

No Oppo Supporters 2018 General AFL Discussion

Got to disagree here. It’s precisely because it is a business that I feel ethics and values are important. If you don’t share them or they change, you don’t but the product. Whatever that is. With what happened to Goodes - it made me want to give up on AFL completely. Knowing my team was 100%...

Review State of the Swans Board - Have your say [Poll closes 31/8/18]

Long time lurker, very occasional poster - when I just can't help myself..;-). I don't think my two bob should be taken too much into account as I will never be a major poster - just find social media too aggresive, negative and the Swans Board is no exception, but definitely not the worse. At...

Autopsy Round 13 2018 Sydney vs West coast

Sorry really, really dislike how people speak about swans players - none of them have ever been and will be 'trash' - just over stated and nasty. Jack's clearly slower atm - could be permanent, may just be a long-term injury issue that will come good. He still has amazing footy smarts - and the...

    Player Watch #44 Jake Lloyd

Think this is an important and good point. A lot of regressive thinking going on... last year without Mcveigh, Lloyd was close to our most important player. Just think back to two x Hawks - without him I knew we were lost. He was just so, so dependable with his recieve and gut running out of our...

Autopsy Swans vs Freo Rd 9 2018

Bemused by the people writing off KJ. Not sure if its because of the view from the ground, rather than the telly, but over 50% of the scores in the 3rd and 4th quarter seemed to start from clever plays by him. Either a great handball out of a clearance, a quick tap on to a player in front...

My personal two cents - couldn't agree more with Kirkswan. Bloody late night games means I have one game that i can take my kid too as promised. we live an hour PT outside of the CBD (like 90% of people with a family - unless you're John Mangos rich..;-).
