We could but generally those delistings are announced separately or we make it clear we're committed to re-drafting them as a rookie. This seems like "so long, good luck."

I assume Zorko's management are still negotiating the dollar amount for an extra year, would be a shock to see him delisted at this point. I guess we could be keeping list flexibility open...
Just had a quick look (so forgive me if I've missed any) but since 2000 only six teams have missed the finals after losing a grand final the previous year and all of them got thumped.
Melbourne 2001 lost by 60
Collingwood 2004 lost by 50
Brisbane 2005 lost by 40
Port Adelaide 2008 lost by 119...
