If it’s the same old fella it costs them a lot of cans. Enjoys a drink.
Great clubman.
Cheers Nick, it is still Merv.
Has also umpired over 400 cricket games.
I think it’s been the allocation of points where there has been some allowances not the 46 total each week.
Still difficult to name the side due to limited 1 point players. Many scattered at other clubs within the league.
This is All 2nd hand - don’t shoot the messenger.
Given the demographics of that general area there should be a few considering this option.
Only so many juniors playing the game in the area to which to base the future of these clubs. Not what people & possibly the league want to hear but it’s the reality of the situation.
A novelty for the club, more juggling at selection. There’s over 20 unavailable for the 1st practice match but they are still fielding 2 full sides this week
It is an incredible effort by those involved.
Further to that LL I believe they will need to be careful with points for 2026 & need all of the 1 point players they can get.
Selection will be a balancing act.
& no I’m not sure what level point they have been allocated for 2026. I should ask, but we will find out soon enough.
Finals...
Why is that odd?
Drop from Div 1 to Div 4 isn’t appealing for guys that age & they played Premier prior to that.
Significant salary cap drop.
It seems a natural progression to me & that’s how it should be.
Huge name & a great man Djordy, also played in a flag at Doncaster.
The young fella wants to have a crack at Premier. I have no doubt he will be back at the Valers one day.
I’ve tried to hang in there as long possible but there is now no choice. A change must be made.
The last 10 minutes relying on Dragusin to be the creator & then watching him over hit balls. That’s not his role.
Just basic stuff.
Those injuries are out of control.
Got to the point where they are just slapping together a makeshift 11 each game.
Incredible result all things considered.
Cursed!!!
We have an incredible win & no posts. The CL effort has been amazing in the face of adversity.
Ange. I love the man since his playing NSL days but at some point you need to move on. He’s gone, look forward rather than in the rear vision mirror.
Spence needs to be played exclusively on the right. Playing a left advanced role he got into dangerous positions but would turn back to his right. At times the ball would end back with Vic.
I would sell Vic. Creates panic with the ball at feet & it’s costing us a goal and points every few games.
Someone here recently was bemoaning that he wasn’t starting. Surely it is one or the other? Is he overworked or underused? Same can be said for many.
Our last two managers have had to tolerate a ridiculous amount of injuries. This is what has made the squad look thin and provided limited...
