Truth is we are just not that good.
Our midfield barely had an impact or clean clearance.
Sidebottom, Crisp, DeGoey were awful all day.
Howe, IQ down back just fumbly and poor
Yet we drew.
Very very poor performance

It’s such a tough position to be in for Fin. He tears it pre season and then isn’t picked for round 0, then with no form is made sub next 2 games.
Finally gets a crack against a Brisbane and unsurprisingly doesn’t set the world on fire, the. Subbed out again.
I would back him in and play him...
And the best thing of all …. Brisbane have now lost their last 4 AFL games in a row ….. how sweet it is [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]

Very familiar pattern with our games. Reasonable opening qtr and then go to pieces. Skills disappear, fumbles, no run. Credit to Brisbane who worked us out and Fly doesn’t appear to have a solution or plan B
Lucky to be so close as Brisbane could have kicked 10 in that qtr

I can’t stand listening to the bias of Hodge on these broadcasts. Watching with the volume turned off is so much better

I’m with you on the inclusions. I suspect coaches are wanting to stick with the guys that have got the job done as long as they can until such time the losses make it untenable .
At least Sullivan and Harrison named as emergencies which should mean they are next up.

Our best chance for a dynasty was that 2009 to 2012 period - we played in 4 straight prelims and back to back GF's with only 1 flag to show for it. The coaching drama really derailed that period of time.
Premierships are so hard to win - need everyhting to click and thats even harder to occur...
Its hard to tip the PIES this week given how poor we have been, and Brisbane will be equally as hungry to get a win on the board.
I'd like to Harrison, Sullivan and Noble come in, with Mitchell (sub) Markov (out) and Sidey (Managed) being left out.
Still think Brisbane will win and we will be...
I watched the majority of the game, and the two standouts for me were Harrison and Noble.
I thought HH was a cut above VFL and deserves a decent crack in the 1’s. Always been a fan of JFN and hope he comes back in.
On Ed Allen - good ball user and has time - good traits. Needs to put on some...
The media working themselves up into a lather with the usual Collingwood haters like Dunstall, King and Montanga calling us timid and saying pendles days are numbered. Bunch of flogs.
Anyway, the problems I believe are largely around our midfield group who for one reason or another have been...
We look under done and that impacts the skills and connection under pressure- we are so far off it at the moment season will be done before we get going.
Possibly the poorest umpiring of an afl game I’ve seen in years- it was so blatant. Incredible the lob sided free kick count.
Kudos to...
Despite atrocious umpiring, we’re ahead
Centre clearance terrible again and can’t fathom why we are picking Finn mccrae to start.
Hats off to McInnes who has worked hard providing a contest

I wasn’t shocked by the result.
Don’t judge the season on 1 game. By end of April I expect us to be 5 wins (2 losses). That would be a good result and have us in good shape for balance of the year.
We were poor in Saturday no doubt. But that loss would sting and playing in front of a home...
Terrible news for McStay - someone else now has to step up. Maybe Reef comes into his own - plays a different role but it will open up opportunities for others.
Great shame for McStay
Clearly more to it than meets the eye with Ginnivan. If the Pies were "tired" of him then I trust the clubs judgement. Set a tone for the rest of the playing list - even premiership players can be traded if you dont tow the line.
I like it a lot. The club comes first.
Sounds like a slow news day ... so the media bake up another story to keep interest in trade week and throw Ginnivan out for some click bait.
I'm very much pragmatic with this if there were any truth to it. Club will know whats best and if we get a decent pick for him they might cash him in...
I'm not disappointed we traded next year's 1st. We'll give that pick a few years on the Freo list and if they are any good get them out of there in a few years :D
Reality is we probably paid slight overs - but as the Premiers (never get sick of saying that) we pay the price of trying to stay in...
Surely not even that's enough - maybe we throw in Nick Daicos as the steak knives.
Seriously you would think Schultz is the next GAJ.
Trade pick 19 or whatever it is and move on
