    It's not and has been debunked many, many times. They're not. And until they do then rules should stand for priority access. Until AFL actually stumps up for grass roots footy i. Qld and nsw and runs academies then clubs should have priority access. Happy to concede it once that happens.

    Out of interest, what denotes "cheaply" or "under fair value". Are you marking that retrospectively on perfromance or at the time selection?

    Just out of interest, the total selections of tied picks over the last 10 years: F/s total 37 Academy total 37 NGA total 27 Average amount of selections - going to say averaging 60 selections in main draft per year % of tied selections over the last 10 years is 16.8%

    Oh I remember. But that was only ever for F/S picks. After that it was match a bid with the pick in whatever round you were in (Heeney) then use points to match (Mills onward). I honestly don't mind changes, but throw in future picks and AFL needs to consider second, third and forth order...

    From what I have seen so far this year, Meaney seems the most likely to translate into afl. I hoped that Will and Guy would put on some size as they have insanely good footy iq but need one or two weapons to be viable at next level IMO.
