yeah thats a good one.
hard to believe she has been around for almost 20 years now for 4 albums.
But they are all quality. Last one may be my fav. once you get to extraodinary machine, make sure you track down the alternative rejected version of the album. interesting stuff..
New Gaz album early next year

loved the last one
apparently he played everything on this new one
been listening to this one a bit lately
the ultimate "test a stereos sound quality group" the sonics on their albums are always great.
Glad someone has mentioned this one. really loved this one

yeah this is a great thing no doubt
But the artists you mentioned..even though are putting out new great stuff are mostly well established guns of their genre. do you find it harder getting into brand new acts / artists under 25?
its interesting.
as far as music goes. i mean.. i hardly know anyone born after 94 (except my sister and two younger brothers) but non share the same music enthusiasm that i did at their age. They seem to like it.. but dont go head over heels for artists, digging deep into their stuff. I think...
on the same page roobs!
maybe its the care free nature of what a solo artist / songwriter brings to the table. the fact that they can be harder to nail down and pigeon hole, thats a great thing! i would love for a new rock band to excite me but that has not happened in a looooong time..
but...
Roobsy getting all deep now!
but i guess your right about not being tied to smaller monocultures or whatever. By early 20's i think most just go mental and path their own tastes.. no matter what style.
curse of love
old but new i guess. recorded back in the mid 00's when they cranked out tunes faster than any at the time.
its not breaking any new ground but if you like them check it out.
funny old band really. totaly out of time..
don't think they have a classic album but song for song they...
not me either!
there aint much more important things for me
its just that i find myself delving into older stuff. there are just to many great older gems i'm yet to discover. especially from the psych soul, jazz and power pop genres.
yeah good points.
young music for young people.. i get that. I can still get into it but can't really connect big on a personal level. I agree about the attachements to older music to.. i mean, my most listened to albums of this year would be from the likes of Beck, Prince, Spoon,Neil Finn...
coming in and reading this thread is bringing me down
I honestly don't think there will be 5-10 albums from this year that i will truly love in 10 years time. plenty of good songs no doubt, but albums.. not so much.
I started this thread..but this year is the one i have cared so little about...
So instead of 10 wickets in hand lets have 7 in the 20 overs
Lets have a rule where one genuine tail ender must also bat in the top four.
might make things a bit more interesting between bat and ball..
new album next week
been bumping this song plenty
pretty, spooky..
pretty spooky song
always melodic
and reaching for another place
I especially like the bit from 2:04 - 2:34
one of them moments that surprises you
this band does that plenty
yeah agree. its def alot more mellow, ballad-y and song-y
zombie sounds like the weakest track.. and i can't really get into peter & trouble.. sorta breaks the mood
there is some great stuff on here though and i think it will take more listens to get into it more.
reminds me a little of suck it...
i'm thinking harris and johnson to rattle the indians with the short / fast stuff and then hilfy to come in and bowl straight with a touch of swing to claim plenty of lwb, bowled.
his last series against india at home has to count for something
he tore it up!
