    Rookie 32. Matt Carroll

Matt Carroll……….The NBT. Well, maybe not, but….I seriously rate this kid. I rated Wills also, but, this kid could be very good. Same as Ramsay. Slow burn, but take the time and…………

Prediction 2024 New Jumper Numbers - Post #52

Just plain dumb. They got 1 number right, if that. Ok, maybe 2. The others, are just………dumb. From a fans perspective anyway.

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

^. There’s a reason why they’re rookie level. Can’t be expecting a 💎. There’s still a few about though who ranked early on. Smokies - I like what Wills brings, and I’ve mentioned Ben Hopkins. Tarkyn O’Leary I would seriously like. Patton as a big. Callinan, Dirty Sanchez. De La Rue. Carroll...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

I’ve had my pout. Wanted Austin’s head yesterday but I’m good now, bit of Sheepdip and I’m a new ram. Moir has a lot of work to do in my wool covered eyes - not impressed - yet. Bit off a pretty boy and I don’t care if his parents were Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan - football is a team sport - not...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

Thing that no-one picks up/sees about Cooper is that he’s no shrinking violet. Loud by voice and actions on the field. He’s a leader. Made DeMattia look poor by comparison in the game I watched and he was co-captain. His team mate Ben Hopkins (who was the reason I was able to see Cooper play)...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

On Moir, No, Butter. If that’s not what you meant, yeah it does a bit. His mates know people. I can see the logic behind the drunken Tasmanian or the catch everything Sandgroper. Won’t cry if we went that way, but I’d always debate it. Personally, I have a list of about 10-15, headed by...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

Yep, sounds about right - Just spoke with a mate of mine who has a few alleged contacts he had a few beers with this arvo. Moir has apparently been the target for some time. Between us and our 2nd pick will be WCE (Collard) and GEE (Stevens) due to GCS matchings. Our 2nd pick then has allegedly...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

Cal‘s mock has a few falling compared to others. I would not be adverse to taking Stevens. I know we’re looking at run and carry and Fwd craft, but I think it would be wise to invest in a Cripps succession plan also. That big powerful extracting mid type and this guy is ready to go. Simpson...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

I reckon he’s all over the shop this year. Surely Hawks take Curtin before Watson and with Gingivitis coming across. I think ADE take Wilson and SYD don’t take a ruck with their first pick, they just got Grundy. If we do go after the GEE pick, I reckon it’s for Caddy.

The fact I’d only be happy with maybe 4 of those shows we’re at a very fluid position in this draft.

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

Was always a fan of Wil Dawson, thought he moved well as a KPD and was very mobile. That probably had something to do with him growing 20cm in the last two years. Played as a mid/med Fwd as a younger kid. Has the tank and nous to be a very solid KP option.

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

Moir is a bit like Jack Martin and Bobby Hill (and Lemmey) i suppose in that they were hyped as in the U16 age bracket but dropped off a bit in 18’s. Archer Reid is similar too, and if we go by skill set, Archer is top level. We certainly could use better delivery by foot all over the park.

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

If people want to go X-factor over depth - go Tew Jiath. Said to be more advanced than his Hawk brother at the same time, who had some of the best run and carry football in the league. His brother put on the Kg’s quickly and kept his line breaking speed. That’s X-factor. The other is Goad...

    Analysis 2023 Draft Watch

Doesn’t do enough for mine. If we’re after a 3rd forward, who adds something to our forward line, I’d go after Logan Morris. ….and of course Cooper Simpson who I have been high on for weeks now. ….id also heavily consider Dawson as a KPD.

Opinion The 'Carlton related stuff that doesn't need it's own thread' thread Part 2

Got no issue with white and the CFC and number in Navy Blue. Could handle the orange we use and also a pink. The Navy and our ‘coat of arms’ are still bold and emblazoned in blue. Also, contrast jumpers sell like hot cakes and are a great money spinner. Don’t be an ‘Eddie’ and go the stripes...
