Treacy kicked three but our tall defenders were not the problem out there despite what everyone expected. Amiss got on the end of a few entries but really only one of the entries was in a dangerous position and Voss accomplished roughly jack shit.
I hate to say I called it but the worst case scenario happened with Darcy doing an ACL. Lewis breaks even as a marking forward and doesn't let himself get bullied out there whereas our young key players would be on a hiding to nowhere.
It's what I was ****ing saying when we recruited him. Ideally he doesn't play at all but if push comes to shove and the worst happens then I'd rather have a mature body out there instead of sending the kids on a hiding to nowhere.
lo and behold, the worst happened.
Everyone expected us to be absolutely decimated out there. It's just really frustrating that we tried as hard as we could to lose it in the third quarter.
I think that a mature medium defender would be the go for the MSD. Sellwood was intended to be plug and play but he was unlucky with a bad timed injury so I think we should go that route again.
He did clip his head a little bit. Not a lot but he caught him high. Certainly one of those ones where if it's bad enough for a player to be grabbing their head like that then it should be a head impact assessment.
Having English back in the side is such a huge teamlifter too. Only complaints is that Gags missed two goals that most small forwards will kick and West completely wasted a shot at goal by being selfish.
