McDonald's manager just spoke to the boys on SEN and it is a serious possibility with apparently Gold Coast being interested as well. They were saying we would pick him up to give Juddy and Murph support in the midfield, but isn't that why we got Hadley and McClean? How long would the deal be?
Its a shame that he couldnt make an impact at his third club, given that Port have struggled in the ruck department as of late. Does anyone think he will get picked up again?
Hey guys and gals wat are ure opinions on james hird as coach of Essendon?? I think it's a great choice, even though he has no experience. The guys a champ!! Heres an article i wrote on ********* site, leave feedback and ure thoughts on Hirdy on the thread.
cheers...
I didn't mean the drawn game, I ment that all players who have been a part of the season deserve a premiership medal. I thought it would be a nice touch and similar to what they do in other sports provided the players have played a number of games throughout the season.
I have no doubt that Hird will be a success at the bombers. He was a champion footballer and a great leader and my favourite non-carlton player. I wish him all the best and hope that Essendon surround him with the right people and support him.
Fair eough Jacobs wants to go home for more game time, but I don't see the point in trading for Sellars if he is just another ruckman we can add to our ever expanding ruck division. Shouldn't we be asking for a lot more out of this deal?
It's going to be interesting seeing as he is taking over a fairly ordinairy list but hopefully people give him a chance to get everything together. Champion player.
Re: Names & Numbers
Surely if they did do it the numbers would be a little smaller and the names would wrap around, great picture though.... Food for thought
Thats my point exactly. If Josh Fraiser was likely to be getting a medal he would feel like he was part of the team. Remember Matthew Primus crying when Port won? Surely he deserved a medal. I think we punish those who miss out by excluding them on the biggest day in Australian sport when they...
What if you have contributed to the team? The days of having a settled 22 are gone, and in this day and age sides experience more line-up changes than ever. I don't think you can say that players don't deserve the medal just because they weren't in the 22 for the big game.
Thanks for the link mate but i ment for every grand final. I think that if you have played games throughout the year and miss the grand final through omission, suspension or injury that you still recieve a premiership medallion as recognition for your efforts throughout the year
Exactly right mate, i think it is the saddest part of the grand final seeing guys who have missed out celebrating with team-mates. Has to be changed aslong as they have played an x amountof games, similar to the premier league.
With the increased number of interchanges do you guys think that it is time to start putting the player's names on their guernseys? I personally think it would be great and it would really persoanlise merchandising too.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, cheers
I think its great mate, really unique thing about our game. I have to admit after the game I was for time on but the thought of doing it all again on Saturday is relally exciting. Great work AFL
Hey guys and gals,
It's been a big week in football and with everyone calling for the inclusion of extra time, I thought the bigger issue should be premiership medallions. I personally think that every player should recieve a premiership medallion if they have been part of a premiership team...
I love his goal against Freo were he spins thru 3 defenders and walks into an open goal. I would love to have him in our side. Thanks for putting up the vids mate ;)
Clearly u guys deserved to win, cant believe goddard got pipped for the Norm Smith but hayes did play well. Do u guys go for another midfielder and keep blake and kosi in ruck or bring in mcevoy??
Do it for Australia, Go Saints!!
