That's an easy answer. We're being conservative with those injuries, and getting players right.
In the past when we were more desperate, players would be rushed back.
Now we're winning, we're not desperate.
The season is a marathon, not a sprint. It's about peaking in September.
Even if they’re 6-6, I don’t think they’re a real threat.
They’re not going to be feared at the Gabba in the same way anymore. I seriously doubt they can make top 4, and they’re not going to win 3 away finals in a row.
They’ve been up for 5 years.
Finished 2nd in 3 of those years, 4th and 6th in 2022 when they won through to a Prelim. To be up for that long without actually winning, it’s easy to fall away quickly. They were absolutely primed for last year, like Geelong in 2022, but they couldn’t do it. Their...
Despite Langford’s miss, *were too s**t to win.
Too many s**t handballs in the last 10 minutes, instead of going forward. Also some falling over.
Filth are past it, which is why they couldn’t get over *
Miochek’s 2 on-the-full shots in the last 5 are hilarious.
Nick Flakeos is a disgusting...
It wasn’t introduced for late contact, and that’s not the rule. You’re not allowed to make front-on contact in a marking contest, late or early.
If Toby didn’t turn his body, and kept his arms out going for the mark, that’s what would have happened.
I don’t think he made the point well, but he wasn’t that far off. You’re not allowed to make front-on contact in a marking contest.
If Toby doesn’t turn, he gets the free kick. But it’s not realistic to leave yourself open like that.
The only thing Greene did wrong was tuck in the left arm...
Not quite as injured, but not far off

Wait.
So Marchbank, who under Voss’ tenure has managed only 6 games less than Fog (even though he did an ACL), but will be assessed to return 2 weeks earlier than Fog, should be put on the Inactive List, but Fog shouldn’t be?
I think you're probably underestimating Hayward's wage.
He's a Restricted Free Agent, ie he's in the top 25% of Swans' players by salary. There's also obviously strong interest in him from multiple clubs.
That's not to say we shouldn't go for him. But he'll be on a lot more money than Hewett or...
The only thing he did wrong was tucking in the left arm.
I don't think that players should be suspended for that.
It's not like Charlie Cameron's sling tackle last week.
Niall is one of the good footy journos, a sensible guy. This is a reasonable take:

He had a huge diving effort in the centre square in the last quarter got his hand on the ball, stopped them clearing it, we got it back forward.
Was very happy with his game.
