winning premierships doesnt mean travelling every second week is less challenging than staying at one venue for a month or two at a time. at the time those teams were good enough to beat anyone, anywhere. Then they so often go back to being teams that struggle to win on the road. like now...
christ dude u make it too easy...you have played subi already, we dont play at the mcg at all. ultimately its not a given that u will play a final at subi, its a given that the grand finalists will play at a venue where certain teams are not given the chance to play beforehand.
you make me...
im not worrying about where freo will play a grand final as long as its not alien to any team that has half a chance.., its the principal, give every team games at the G if its played there.
how is 42,000, 43,000, 51,000 or 83,000 (stadiums of interstate teams) 1/3 of 100,000 ?:o
flaws, flaws...
and yes change the GF venue or else let all teams play at least 1 or more games there in 22 rounds.
his counter argument is that what if we played a string of games at subi all against perth based teams, which is equivalent to what happens now in melb.
in a big stadium that can hold both supporters teams, neutral venue but not travelling is not a disadvantage but i can concede its no...
no i see what youre saying but i wanna wait and see what happens, new players in, some out, some coming back in. teams been unsettled the past few weeks. loss to melbourne at subi wouldve been dire but the win keeps us in stead, just.
carlton board :o
the funny thing is thats 6 w's from 9 games for freo. ohwell i guess we are lucky to be in the 8...well, this revised and reworked 8 at least lol.
ps.write to the AFL and see if they'll discard rounds 1-6.:thumbsu::thumbsu:
crowd support? not travelling anywhere?
both teams you could say have it better in that sense, rather than travelling interstate with a hostile crowd against them also. Maybe not against eachother, but it sure makes it cruisier only travelling for a handful of games each year.
also look at us...
hmmm is that a premiership cup with feathers and a bomber plane in it being cooked? well its 2 teams at least lol.
jesus you know youre not going to win it when your club does this sort of sh|t, so modest u lot. :thumbsu:
very happy in the context of "i cant believe we get to play finals this year, this is amazing, we lost 6 in a row to start with, now we get to go and play a final in perth"
that kind of happy? :D
we would get revenge for the 06 finals loss to you at AAMI.
Minimums in the 20-low 20's
Maximums in the high 20's-low 30's (rarely below 28)
thats mid winter, it only gets warmer from here toward september, not to mention in feb/march/april. humidity is another thing, not so much in winter though.
Perth can be bloody hot still when the season kicks...
whats that got to do with certain other players causing more pain in choking where it counts.
but its good, no matter what negative thing is said about your team you can always pull the grand final card.
yeah thats true. not the premiership bit, but being in the top 4 so often this year has never been very convincing, bar a couple of away wins we werent expected to win that kept us there.(not that we were expected to even win half of what we are on now though)
