Hi All Cricket Book Lovers,
I've come into a fairly large collection of cricket books from my father in law as he has downsized his house and no longer had room. He has amassed the collection over a lifetime essentially, so I'm hoping to get something for them to give back to him, but...
With Jackson, Gary Lyon said after Grand Final week he was speaking with Jacksons parents, and given how much Jackson had been talking up Melbourne and loving life here, they were considering moving. I don't think there is much to worry about.
Lots of WA players from all clubs have stayed in...
Wattsy for me too, just a genuinely likable guy. Had the pleasure of meeting a few times at my local and was always nice to everyone around him.
Colin Sylvia because who doesn't love someone who eeks out a 10 year career averaging probably 400k a year on cruise control.
Clint Bartram for exactly...
Agree Lever and May were good, but Tomlinson really impressed me yesterday. He took Tabener most of the day leaving Lever and May to do their intercepting, and did a pretty good job. Tabener got a couple of goals, but 2 of his shots for goal were from pretty horrendous turnovers and wasn’t much...
Hunt played the worst game I can remember from a MFC player in recent memory, and that’s saying something. We would have been better off playing with 17. I can’t think of a single thing he did that had a positive impact on the team. His defensive positioning is horrendous, and he seems to think...
You start out here saying that media bias is overrated, and then throughout the thread provide examples of Murdoch media almost exclusively backing the winner of elections. If he backs the winner every time, wouldn't that be proof of media bias playing a fairly significant role. It's not just a...
I like the idea too, but honestly more because I think most of them are already juiced, so just legalise it so the playing field is level. I wouldn’t be surprised if results barely improved in a fully sanctioned juiced olympics
it is stupid. Wouldn’t mind if they tried having squads of like 25 for T20. Pick your 11 best batsmen, 11 best bowlers/fielders plus subs. Anyone can be substituted whenever, but if you sub on for a bowler who has already bowled 2 overs you can only bowl 2 etc.
It’s already a bastardised version...
The Machinist is pretty good. The most galling thing about it though is that it was only about 6 months between shooting that for Bale to then shoot Batman, and the physical transformation is mind blowing when you see them side by side -
If you like Nolan's style, i think you'll love it. Every aspect of it is phenomenal, from cinematography, to story, to soundscape. Wont say much else as i don't want to spoil anything, but the longer i think about it, the more i like it.
I’d happily give Lonie or Ronke a go if we could trade them in cheap. Neither seem particularly valued by their clubs, so might be able to get one of them very cheap
Us pundits just need to pretend the trade period happens on Wednesday and Thursday. Even if the trade period was only 2 days, there would be the same media speculation and bullshit going on now regardless, so just pretend it's only for 2 days, and all this garbage is just foreplay.
Carlton now apparently going after Dunstan so have presumably given up on Oliver.
That’s like picking up the hot chick at bar and then finding out she *s like a tranquillised mattress
Not defending him here, but Mahoney can't do anything right by some people on this board.
Get a trade done quickly - Mahoney is a lightweight, rolls over
Try and be aggressive at the trade table - Mahoney is being a dick, just get the trade done as quick as possible.
Without trying to politicise a disaster, the current pandemic could be a blessing for Bernie. 50million Americans with no health insurance, and potential another 30-40million under insured and may not be eligible to get a Coronavirus test. If it has the impact that it potentially could in the US...
Did Spargo miss a target on friday night? I’m not his biggest fan by any means, but I actually think of the small forwards he has been the most impressive in the pre-season. Had a hand directly in at least a couple of goals on Friday.
Interestingly, Buddy was a Melbourne fan growing up.
He used to come into a bar I worked at a fair bit. He asked me for a free drink one day. I said he could have free drinks for life if he asked for a trade to Melbourne. He laughed in my face
Agree. Don't know if I see a spot for him on our list, but I'd love him to get a chance somewhere. I'd put him on the list if there's no one else around for us to give a chance to just to reward the effort and extend the Casey relationship, but surely someone like Essendon who barely have...
Bradtke is still very slightly framed, but his positioning in the ruck contests has been really good i thought. Might be another couple of years before he doesn't get bullied out of the contest, but he gets into good spots. Might be some hope for him.
No offence, but if that’s your impression of Jetta then your not watching football. He would easily be the best 1 on 1 defender at our club, and pound for pound one of the best in the league. Had a down year last year due to injury, but should bounce back this year
