Didn’t seem that was the problem to me, he seemed to get into position okay. He then looked away rather than watch the ball into his hands though.

What an awful dropped catch, he looked away right at the most important moment. Dropping Head again, thought they would’ve learned by now.

Premier Lg EPL Matchday 19 & 20 - On Stan Sport

Still baffling how he was given so much space when trying to defend a lead. Still though it’s a hell a hit, goal of the season potential.

Premier Lg EPL Matchday 19 & 20 - On Stan Sport

The commentator went very early after Gakpo’s goal that he “won” the match. There was still a few minutes left of injury time. Ridiculous goal though to equalise from Reed. The way it’s kissed the inside side netting reminded me of Rice’s second goal against Real Madrid. What a hit.

    Up the Arse! Goons Thread

It’s been a handy few days. 2 wins for Arsenal, 2 draws for City, and the gap changes from 2 points to 6. However literally that can be eaten up in a week. Or even in half a week with the volume of football this time of year. Couple of poor results from Arsenal and that lead vanish in no time...

I’m of the same view. Weakening our squad in January has the real potential to backfire later on in the season.

Completely forgot the Sydney test started today. Switched it on a few minutes ago to discover firstly bad light and then rain halted play. And now they’ve called stumps. England in a good position otherwise. Again, where was this when the series was on the line.

Yes that’s right I did recall seeing him preparing. It was the right call not to throw him on at 3-2. His defensive aspect is still developing, he was culpable in Villa’s opener a few weeks ago and clearly that’s fresh in the memory for Arteta. Merino I thought was important in those moments and...

I read a stat that Odegaard has equaled Vieira with his assist this morning. He’s in fine company. In brilliant form lately and his pass into Saka to set up Rice’s second was lovely. Won’t get an assist for that but completely split them apart to create the space for Rice to float into. Some...

Premier Lg EPL Matchday 19 & 20 - On Stan Sport

Bournemouth did the double over Arsenal last season and are very tricky to beat at home this season. As they’ve shown so far with their home league form. This was an excellent victory. Crucial 3 points and now 5 straight wins since the last gasp defeat to Villa a month ago. Rice is absolutely...

Excellent closing few minutes. Sucked the life out of the match and I don’t recall a shot Bournemouth took after they scored their 2nd. Big win. Lost both games against this last season so there’s another 3 point turnaround from corresponding fixtures from last season.

He’s added set pieces to his game, and now hitting the scoreboard with goals. Whatever Arsenal do or don’t do this season will be closely aligned with him. Phenomenal.

We seem too risk averse in the final third. Even that passage right on half time, didn’t get it into the box. Need to improve significantly this half.

Enjoyed Norgaard’s reaction to the Trossard goal. And loved the camera angle at the final whistle, literally showing Emery skulking straight down the tunnel (due to the cold weather).

Seems many posts this morning have been lost. To repeat, Xhaka was immense again this morning. Excellent result for Arsenal with City held to a draw. Half way point now of the season with 19 games done. So long to go still. That trip to the Etihad in a few months will be huge.
