And yet you were outscored for 3 quarters.
Colllingwood must have done amazingly well to still be on top when the umpires were handing them out to Port the rest of the game.
Collingwood had a great first half of last year because of their game plan leading to quick footy.
Teams then found them out and the second half of the year were average. Finals got through on fumes winning 3 games by under a goal.
This year is just a regression of that. Its becoming like...
I wouldn’t mind seeing another angle of that McCluggage play that set up Danihers goal with a minute and a half left on the clock to see how close it was to out of bounds.
There would have been a better shot from the normal camera view they have but it was never shown.
Agreed. A little bit of luck helps most years somewhere along the way. Whether its the bounce of the ball in critical moments, injuries, poor goalkicking by other teams, opposition players having bad days, etc.
Just doesn’t happen to premiers, can happen to any team in the top 8. You mentioned...
Considering that the ground is 160m long by 140m wide, Sidebottom would have had to have received the penalty on the half back flank 50 metre line for it to be 80 metres plus as you claim. Simple trig, try it sometime.
Carlton were always going to come out firing in the 1st quarter knowing that they would tire late because of their gruelling last few weeks. Not a knock on them, it's just the way it is.
Seems they started to tire earlier though. Game looks cooked for them.
When Carlton's onslaught after the first 5 goals, Carlton's odds came in to $1.55 and Brisbane blew out to $2.40
Now its Brisbane back in to $1.26 and Carlton are out to $3.20.
