Best regional city (non-capital) in Australia

Warrnambool has changed, the chance of getting beaten up for just been in the wrong spot at the wrong time is strong. Violence/drugs and resulted problems all over the city. There are still some tourist spots, but living there not a chance.

Food, Drink & Dining Out Gluten free

It's a no in Australia not because they have gluten but for commercial reasons a lot of companies don't decontaminate their processing areas before bring oat products through production lines etc. So you cant trust oat based products.

    Tasmania - 'Adventure' Tourism

Cradles allright, but in Jan it will be full, I mean full of tourists, unless you meant to do the overland track you will bump into people on every bend. Tasmania - is there much of an Asian population there?

This is why i would not reccomend tassie. Tassie born and bred and most have a heart of gold but there is a chance of exposing your gf some to grief, particulry outside of the big communities. Not that this is necessarily different in Melbourne out suburbs either, or Adelaide's North or...

Since when did you lose demerit points in your home state for an offence in another. I've had fines in the ACT and TAS (home by birth but my license is vic) and i never received demerit point losses in victoria. I was told by the ACT people i could get half points in ACT before they booted...

Do you know how to fight?

I defend myself by avoiding or running. Only once have I been in a bar fight and that was when I made a trip down to Frankston (Surprise Suprise) with a few mates. Only one female bar tender on duty at a pub called the Robin Hood and she got harassed by some people on the floor and she cut...

    Tasmania

Theres a ceratin balnce truth to this thread. As a tassie expat I love tassie, but those who talk about a greater choice of employment are right, been the size it is and its isolation there is a reason so many of us former tassie people are working on the mainland. [COLOR=black]You...
